'Love Island': Val dumps Jesse after learning about Deb, fans say 'that was very girlboss of her'

Valerie Bragg might be the new girl in the 'Love Island' villa, but that doesn't mean she isn't willing to stand up for herself. After managing to turn almost all the guys' heads with her bombshell looks, Val decided to couple up with Jesse Bray. The brunette beauty felt that Jesse was very sweet and wanted to test the waters with him. 

Jesse who was coupled up with Deb Chubb at that time was more than happy to dump her for Val. But just a day into his new relationship, Jesse began having second thoughts. While he continued to tell Val that he was only into her and was totally attracted to her, he, however, went around telling everybody else in the villa that Deb was still his top pick and that he had a stronger connection with her. Thankfully, Zeta Morrison pulled Deb aside and told her about Jesse's feelings for her. This left Deb feeling puzzled as Val was telling all the girls that Jesse and she shared a special connection. So, Deb decided to inform Val about what she had heard from Zeta. Val was left feeling shocked when she realized that Jesse was saying the same things to both of them.

Instead of being passive-aggressive or taking Jesse's side, she instead decided to confront him about it. Jesse was left with no choice but to admit that he did have feelings for Deb. After hearing this Val dumped Jesse and walked away. Watching how Val handled the whole situation in a calm and mature way, fans were beyond impressed with her. Several fans took to Twitter to praise her and declare that she became their new favorite islander.
