Micah Lussier gets caught up in love triangles
The pilot episode begins with Chelsea and Kwame in their own shells, and it doesn't take long for them to hit it off. They quickly agree that Saturday is the best day of the week, and their conversation evolves from there. Kwame tells them that he used to be a soccer player, but a career-ending injury forced him to pursue a different career. Micah then enters Kwame's pod, and the two immediately become close with a hearty laugh. When Kwame suggests introducing himself as "Alex." Micah admires his decision to use his real name, as it "speaks to core values." They also bond over the Law of Attraction and the importance of manifestation in their lives. Kwame is smitten with Micah from their initial meeting, and goes as far as to refer to her as his "number one" Micah also confesses to having an instant crush on Kwame, as they share a similar outlook on life.
Micah turns to her next potential partner, Paul, an environmental scientist. They strike up a conversation and joke that Micah's father and Paul have the same name. They also bond over their shared love of travel, and Paul jokes about taking Micah to Positano, their favorite place when they get married. He even notices her sultry voice and says it tickles his brain. As the episode progresses, they play games, talk about their insecurities, and show each other their vulnerable sides, growing closer. Micah looks forward to spending more time with Paul. Paul then turns to Amber and compliments her on her elegant gemstone name. Their conversation also begins on a positive note, as the two share a love of New Orleans and beignets. However, Paul jokes about marrying Amber after making the same joke to Micah. The two also share an interest in traveling.
These connections have made Micah's search for a husband even more challenging. She finds herself at the center of two love triangles between Kwame and Chelsea and Paul and Amber.
Who does Micah break up with?
As speed dating makes its rounds, it turns out that Micah is at the top of the list for many. But Micah's list only includes two - Paul and Kwame. Not only has she found out all sorts of things about her potential husbands, she's made sure to ask the right questions. But in order to secure her position as a possible wife for one of them, she has to deal with the other connections Kwame and Paul have made with Chelsea and Amber, respectively. Her choices have resulted in her currently being in two love triangles. But she has opened up to Paul and told him that she would choose him over Kwame any day, even though Kwame has admitted that he proposed to her earlier. Micah finally decides to let go of Kwame, even though they had a wonderful relationship together and Kwame fell in love with her in just six days.
Micah brings bad blood to women's quarters
Back in the women's quarters, Micah may have sparked drama between her fellow love - Chelsea and Amber. While Chelsea got along well with Kwame, Micah's frantic dating spree seemed to have a deeper connection. She feels safe with Kwame and thinks she should give 'the nice guy' a chance. On the other hand, there is Paul, who has also developed a relationship with Amber. It's very hard to see a person you have a passion for build a relationship with someone else, and that's exactly how Chelsea felt. Although she validated his feelings and made him feel very comfortable, it was emotionally draining for Chelsea to be with Micah who she is dating, in this case Kwame. Chelsea immediately distrusts Micah, who is also dating Kwame, for these reasons. But Kwame tells Micah that he wants to propose to her sooner, and that might have been the beginning of Micah's hatred for Chelsea.
When Micah revealed this information to Irina, Amber heard them. It made her feel safe about Paul's relationship with her, since Micah seems to be very interested in Kwame. But Micah did not seem to be so quick to agree to the marriage. Earlier, Micah had overheard Amber raving about Paul, whom she immediately liked and started a relationship with. Micah confronted Paul about this as well. Since Micah is involved in two love triangles (Chelsea-Kwame and Amber-Paul), the girls are also trying hard to make their relationships work. The girls' equilibrium in the Quarter has changed drastically because of the drama that is unfolding. Micah gave Amber a cold look when she walked in with the peonies and other gifts Paul gave her after their date. It seems the girls have ganged up on Micah, their common enemy, and they will do anything to keep her away from their precious connections.
