Spoilers for ‘Love is Blind’ Season 3

DALLAS, TEXAS: While Netflix really wants its viewers to believe that love is blind, a few contestants on the show seem to be on a mission to debunk the theory. ‘Love Is Blind’ features singles falling for each other based on their personality as they don’t get to see each other’s faces during the courting phase. The dating show also includes some questionable participants, who seem to be on the show for looks over love. Did they forget to read the memo?

In Season 2 of ‘Love Is Blind’, fans met Abhishek ‘Shake’ Chatterjee, a contestant looking for “hot blondes” while on a "blind" dating show. Shake's audacity had irked almost every other fan. He was one of the most controversial contestants in the season, upping his game every time. Now in Season 3 of the show, we have Bartise Bowden, a finance analyst who began with a good start as he opened up to contestants Raven Ross and Nancy Rodriguez. But stanning Bartise was a short-lived experience as he soon showed his true colors. Bartise repeatedly pointed out to his fiance, Nancy, that “she wasn’t his type” in the “real world” and that he wouldn’t have hit on her outside the show. Well then, Bartise, why are you on ‘Love Is Blind’? Fans seemed to pick up on his supposed controversial behavior and many compared him to Shake.

‘Love Is Blind’ Season 3: Raven Ross shuts down Bartise Bowden after he hits on her at pool party

What time will ‘Love Is Blind’ Season 3 Episodes 8, 9, 10, 11 be out on Netflix?

When Bartise was in the pods, he seemed to be a great guy with good intentions as he stated his desire for an “emotional connect,” something he found with Nancy. But when the couples all exited the pods for a vacation in Miami, Bartise blatantly told Nancy how attracted he was to Raven. But the water went overboard at the pool party when Bartise openly hit on Raven. Something that Raven herself was not comfortable with or flattered by as even she noticed his tendency to appreciate only her “hot” body and not her mind. She flat-out shut down his approaches.

And no, the drama doesn’t end here; there’s still plenty of tea. During a fun night out drinking with the other couples, Nancy ended up discussing details of her relationship with Andrew Liu, her “almost fiance.” As she teared up while Andrew tried to comfort her, Bartise suddenly joined the duo and got jealous. He asked the pair why they were “smiling” so much, which fans found incredibly insensitive considering Nancy’s red eyes. Bartise’s behavior with his fiance and overall approach to the show has generated plenty of opinions from fans. While some compared him to Shake, others just flat-out called him a villain.

One fan wrote, “Bartise is this seasons Shake, a clout chaser because you came to love us blind to find a deep emotional connection but you’re after Raven, the type you go for in the real world ?? You’re in the wrong show!! Go to Love island #LoveisBlindSeason3 #LoveisBlindS3 #loveisblind.”

While another added, “Bartise out here showing everyone that, he is indeed, 25 years old. You are too immature for a relationship with a woman yet alone ready for a marriage, love #LoveIsBlind.”

A viewer penned, “I tought Cole was going to be the villian this season… But here comes Bartise! #LoveIsBlind.”

As one noted, “Ugh this little boy is irkinggg me so much. Bartise grow up. Go on tinder and look for “your type” instead of gaslighting Nancy. #LoveIsBlind.”

One noted his treatment of Nancy, saying, “Bartise tells Nancy at least once per episode just how much he’s not attracted to her and it’s honestly sad at this point. #LoveIsBlind3 #LoveIsBlind.”

While another stated, “I just don’t get why Bartise would go on a show called Love is Blind and continue to say how much looks matter. Sir do you understand the show #LoveIsBlind #LoveIsBlind3.”
