'Legacies' Season 2 Episode 4: With Landon not remembering her and dating Josie, will Hope find solace with Rafael?
In this week's episode of 'Legacies', Landon and Rafael go to Mystic Falls High to talk to Alaric Saltzman, who has been ignoring Landon's calls. Landon mainly wants to talk to Alaric about the monsters from Malivore coming back for him this time, but the two, especially Rafael, also hope to learn more about Hope.
To recap the last episode which aired two weeks prior, Hope finally helped Rafael turn back into his human form. But unfortunately, as opposed to what many fans predicted, or rather hoped, Rafael did not remember who Hope was either.
In the first season, Landon and Hope had an "epic love" as Hope tells Alaric in this episode. She is afraid of telling him the truth of who she is to him because she is afraid of his possible rejection.
While Landon and Hope were clearly in love, Rafael - Landon's foster brother - also started developing strong feelings for Hope. He was conflicted by it and tried to stuff it down.
However, Rafael, maybe more so than Landon, seems to be immediately infatuated with Hope in this season - the main reason he accompanies Landon to Mystic Falls High is so that he can get to see her.
After Rafael is free from the demon that was possessing him, Hope goes to him and comforts him and there seems to be something passing between them. Though it was brief, we can't help but think that with Landon not remembering Hope and strongly feeling for Josie, "Hafael" fans might be getting what they wished for.
Though it seems unlikely that Landon might remember Hope anytime soon himself, this week's episode ending leads us to believe that Lizzie now fully remembers who Hope is. It is possible that Lizzie reveals what she knows to Josie - who may or may not come clean to Landon about it, we think it might be the former.
