'Legacies' Season 2 Episode 10 will see Salvatore School attacked by a monster that feeds on insecurities

In the winter premiere of Season 2 of 'Legacies', we finally learned how the Necromancer went from being released by Malivore to become the big bad beneath the red hood and causing havoc in Mystic Falls.
Towards the end of the last episode, the Necromancer was also able to open a portal to Malivore and bring out a new monster. This monster will attack the Salvatore School in this week's episode.
The monster whispers into the students' ears' their insecurities and then feeds off of the discord that brews. This comes at an unfortunate time as the witches of the school are coming together to celebrate Coven Day. However, with the monster lurking around, chaos steeps between the covens. The real question is, why does the Necromancer want to create such discord?
The promo for the episode also shows that the monster manages to create some trouble between Landon and Hope. The two just got back together officially at the end of this season's fall finale, and perhaps the monster will stoke insecurities in Hope regarding Landon's feelings for Josie.
Landon will have other insecurities to deal with, of course. In the past couple of episodes, we have seen Landon questioning being the "sidekick" to Hope's hero and in this week's episode, he will ask her to give him some self-defense training.
Meanwhile, the Saltzmans (Alaric, Josie and Lizzie) go on a family quest of sorts in search of a solution that could keep Josie protected from the dark magic that is growing inside the mora miserium. They better be careful with the dark object as it looks like the Necromancer wants it to grow more powerful.
To recap, the mora miserium was the hourglass-like object Vardemus (in reality, Clarke) gave to Josie to channel her dark energy into.
It also looks like something from Alaric's past will come back to haunt him.
