'Landscapers': 5 things you need to know about Olivia Colman
Fans of true crime and dark humor can celebrate as HBO is set to bring an exciting new limited series to screens very soon! 'Landscapers' will follow the true story of a murder committed by a husband and wife that they kept buried for almost a decade before being found out.
The HBO series will have a comic yet chilling take on the crime as we see the story unravel over four episodes. Olivia Colman as Susan Edwards
Olivia Colman is a renowned English actress who continues to impress audiences with her work. Its been 20 years since Colman made her professional acting debut in 2000, at the age of 26, in BBC2 comedy show 'Bruiser' and has since gone on to star in various diverse works such as ' The Office', ' Green Wing', ' The Lobster', 'Murder on the Orient Express' and more. Her roles in 'The Night Manager ' and 'The Crown' won her a Golden Globe Awards, while her portrayal of Anne, Queen of Great Britain in 'The Favourite' saw Colman win the Academy Award for Best Actress. So far the impressive actress has numerous accolades to her name which total an Academy Award, four BAFTA Awards, three Golden Globe Awards, two Critics' Choice Awards, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, a Primetime Emmy Award, and the British Film Institute Fellowship.
She is also involved in philanthropic work and has partaken in many works one of which highlighted the plight of women in Afghanistan. She has been an ambassador for UNICEF UK since 2015 and went on to become its president in 2020. Colman is set to play the lead in 'Landscapers and portray the murderer Susan Edwards.
David Thewlis as Christopher Edwards
David Thewlis is an English actor, author, director, and screenwriter who's famously recognized for playing the werewolf Remus Lupin in the 'Harry Potter' film series. He started acting in the 1980s but broke out only in 1993 after his lead role in 'Naked' which earned him high praise and recognition from institutes like the National Society of Film Critics, the Cannes Film Festival, and more. The actor has since gone on to star in many shows and movies like 'Dinotopia', 'Fargo', 'The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas' amongst others,
Fans of the superhero genre will also recognize him as the war god Ares in DC's 'Wonderwoman' which he played excellently. He will play the husband and accomplice in crime to Susan Edwards in HBO's 'Landscapers'.
