He is been held at Latah County Jail in Moscow, Idaho since January. Kohberger switched from an orange jail uniform to a suit and tie for his court appearances.

"I’ve been informed that his pretrial privileges like his five suits, video and computer special treatment and vegan meals are unprecedented in the history of Idaho," Steve Goncalves told Fox News.

He said he tried to find out who paid for the suits through a public records request, but was denied due to a gag order.

"They won’t tell us," he said, adding "But I witnessed the moment they agreed not to handcuff him in court."

Did prison officlas give in to the request to buy new utensils for Bryan Kohberger?

Latah County Sheriff Richard Skiles said that Kohberger’s request for vegan meals would be met soon after he was moved to Idaho, as per News Nation.

He added, "But we are not going to buy new pots and pans".

Steve Goncalves and the family members of other murder victims spoke in an interview for 'The Night of the Idaho Student Murders' which is to be released on Saturday.

Steve told CBS he believes Kaylee was trapped in a bed with her best friend Maddie Mogen, who was also killed before Kohberger attacked her.

He cited the coroner’s report as evidence that she "tried to get out of the situation".

"The bed was up against the wall. The headboard was touching the wall and the left side of the bed was touching the wall.

"And we believe that Maddie was on the outside and Kaylee was on the inside. The way the bed was set up…[Kaylee] was trapped."

Was alleged killer Bryan Kohberger's plan botched?

Kristi, Kaylee Gonclave's mother relieved that the killer's plans 'went awry'. She said, "he intended to kill one and killed four."

The two other housemates survived the attack with one who witnessed a figure clad in dark clothing and a mask that covered the suspect's mouth and nose. T

She noticed the person pass right in front of her and walk out of the sliding door. She also noticed the athletically built body and bushy eyebrows.

She also heard someone say, "It's ok, I'm going to help you,'" as per the affidavit reported by CBS News.
