Kaitlin Armstrong: Yoga teacher accused of killing cyclist Anna Wilson debuts transformed face in court
AUSTIN, TEXAS: Yoga teacher Kaitlin Armstrong showed off her new face in a Harris County courtroom on Thursday, April 20, for a pre-trial murder hearing where she is accused of killing her boyfriend’s ex-fling in Austin, Texas. The 35-year-old, who drastically changed her appearance through plastic surgery while she was on a run from authorities in 2022, reportedly looked emotionless during the hearing. She was arrested on the charge of allegedly shooting pro cyclist Anna Moriah Wilson, 25, in May 2022.
Armstrong allegedly killed romantic rival Wilson, 25, in a jealous rage after discovering that her longtime boyfriend Colin Strickland, also a pro cyclist, dated the victim while on the outs with Armstrong, according to a police affidavit, reported the New York Post. The murder apparently took place when Wilson was at her friend's home on May 11, after being dropped off by Strickland following the pair's meet-up earlier that day. Just a few minutes later, the surveillance footage recorded Armstrong's vehicle nearby. Wilson was later found that night with multiple gunshot wounds inside the residence by Austin police. Over investigation, shell casings of the bullet were later found at Armstrong and Strickland's residence.

A search warrant found a $6,300 receipt for plastic surgery
Armstrong was questioned by the police but fled the country afterward until being found by US Marshals in Costa Rica in July 2022. She was wearing a bandage on her face at that time which she claimed was a result of a surfing accident. However, a search warrant for Armstrong showed two passports as well as a $6,300 receipt for plastic surgery dated June 23, 2022, from a medical center in the coastal South American country, according to KXAN.
Armstrong altered her face
Her booking photo taken in Harris County, Texas, after she was transported back to the United States showed how the yogi had altered her appearance. She reportedly had a narrower nose which was covered with a bandage. Armstrong also had bruises under her eyes. She had also cut her hair shorter sometime before her capture and also dyed it and changed the color to a darker shade of brown.
