BEVERLEY HILLS, CALIFORNIA: 'White Lotus' star Jennifer Coolidge used her microphone to open up on how much she weighed the offer to appear at the Golden Globes 2023. She said her fear was actually nerves-based and went on to joke about the slippery floor and names that are hard to pronounce.

"There is no way I'm going to make it all the way from behind the podium without breaking my skull," Coolidge joked. At one point, she accidentally referred to the Globes as the Oscars.

The end of the Golden Globes: How claims of racism and sexism destroyed the award show

Coolidge hit the red carpet wearing a glittering, off-the-shoulder black gown from Dolce & Gabbana as the Golden Globes began in Beverly Hills at The Beverly Hilton. Coolidge has been nominated for awards for best actress in a supporting role in a limited series, anthology series, or motion picture made for TV.

Coolidge's appearance and speech seem to have impressed the audience and social media users, who want her to simply go on. "I don't even need an awards show. just keep Jennifer Coolidge on stage and have her tell funny stories about her life," one user wrote on Twitter. "Jennifer Coolidge needs to give out every award and host every awards show going forward," one user wrote, while another said, "Me watching jennifer coolidge go on a 20 minute rant about literally everything other than the award she’s presenting." "Jennifer Coolidge is one of the funniest people on planet earth im convinced," one wrote.

"Can every awards show please just be Jennifer Coolidge narrating everything she did over the previous week?" one user wrote, and another said, "I could watch Jennifer Coolidge present every award throughout all three hours of the #GoldenGlobes." One user said, "Jennifer Coolidge is giving y’all a comedy masterclass right now btw." One wrote of Coolidge's speech, "This mastery was a whole show by itself I was like sticked to the screen, that’s star quality!"
