IOWA, NASHVILLE: It's no secret that 'American Pickers' ratings are suffering. As Season 25 kicks off with the lowest premiere rating, History Channel seems to be using famous cartoon show 'The Simpsons' to boost the show's popularity.

In episode 3, we saw host Mike Wolfe uncovering the history of the world-famous cartoon show 'The Simpsons.' We saw the hosts discovering the storyboard details of Acts 1,2, and 3 of 'The Itchy & Scratchy & Poochie Show.'

In the storyboard, we see the writers "making fun of the process of TV, what executives want, and why it's all gone wrong." The storyboard also details the introduction of a character called Poochie, a dog with sunglasses.

It seems that the History Channel is finally coming up with something that will interest the viewers, thereby helping them to once again gain popularity.

Amid the rating struggle, fans have been demanding Robbie Wolfe's exit from the show. Many believe Frank Fritz was apt for the show and his replacement Robbie is not doing any justice.

One claimed, "Please take Robbie off the show." Another asked, "Let mike do the talking robbie." Another angry fan commented, "What happened to the original team? Lost track of the show."

'American Pickers' Season 25's rating continues to drop

The Sun reported that 'American Pickers' Season 25's 1st episode had the lowest rating as compared to the previous season of the show. The premiere episode, 'Classic Car Cemetry' just had 723K viewers.

The second episode's rating got lower even. The 'Hidden Cash Stash' episode's rating dropped to 767K.

On the other hand, Season 24's premiere episode had a pretty strong rating. It kicked off with 943K viewers. Meanwhile, Season 23 had over a million viewers.

Season 25 seems to be struggling to maintain even half the viewers as compared to Season 23.
