'MAFS' Season 16: Is Gina not attracted to Clint? Couple's honeymoon conversation may lead to ugly fight
NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE: Gina Micheletti, a 'Married at First Sight' Season 16 bride, informs her husband, Clint Webb, that she is not attracted to him. Gina tells Clint in a sneak peek from this week's episode that she doesn't have the hots for him yet.
Is it time to call it quits on Gina and Clint's relationship? The ink on the 'MAFS' couple's marriage license is barely dry, but it already appears like the Nashville pair is headed for some significant - and probably nasty - dispute. 'MAFS' does not always result in love — or even infatuation. However, one stinging revelation from the bride during the honeymoon might be the beginning of the end.

Gina claims that she doesn’t 'really vibe with redheads'
When Gina met account executive Clint on their wedding day, they seemed to click right away. They became friends because they shared a sense of adventure and because they lived in the same apartment complex. Gina even referred to her new hubby as "super sexy." But was the 'MAFS' bride being really honest about her feelings for her new husband?
Gina and Clint get to know each other on their Jamaican honeymoon in a Lifetime reality series preview for the Wednesday, February 1 episode. He gushes on the beach about how the trip has "exceeded expectations" so far, adding that he and Gina "click."
The groom appears to be overjoyed as the Nashville couple enjoys their tropical vacation on Lifetime. He said, "Good exploration time, not only around the island, but a little bit into you and me. We click, right?"
However, the bride notices that one component is missing. "At the end of the day, I don’t know how you’re feeling, but I’m not really feeling this overwhelming physical chemistry, for sure. I don’t wanna force anything, so I don’t know. How do you feel on that?" Gina inquires.
Clint agrees with his new wife, yet he is upbeat. "I feel the same way. I mean, the experts matched us up for a reason, so we’ll see what happens. We might go through something all of the sudden that changes our perspective," he explains.
The hairstylist makes it apparent that this isn't a dealbreaker, stating that she isn't normally drawn to someone right away. "For me, I feel like physical attraction is definitely something that is unexplainable," Gina explains. "I don’t think it happens overnight, but I’ve been in a relationship before where it wasn’t, like, the first initial thing that hit me. I think it can grow over time, just with spending more time together [and] how someone treats you; like, you watching them in your day-to-day life and being inspired by them, or someone making you laugh or enjoying their personality. I think those things can bring physical attraction. I’ve seen it grow in previous relationships, so that’s why I think I’m just staying open-minded."
Clint is 'disappointed' by Gina's remarks
While the account executive is relieved Gina is feeling upbeat, Clint is disappointed to learn of her lack of interest in him. "For her to verbalize that so early in a relationship, I’m disappointed," he acknowledges during his confessional. "But we’re married, so I mean, we’re committed to this, and we’re gonna do whatever it takes to try and make it work."
The 'MAFS' Season 16 pair agree that they are getting along well, and Gina mentions that when they were matched, the experts knew she didn't generally date redheads. "I’m in this for the long haul," she says. "It’s interesting, the one thing that I was [telling the experts was], 'I don’t really vibe with redheads or, like, ginger-y features.' And not to say you’re unattractive, it’s just that’s what you are."
He is not her typical type, she says. Clint answers simply, "Heard."
How will Clint react to Gina's dissatisfaction with his appearance? According to the teaser, he may have some critiques of his own. He claims she's not his ideal lady after she says he's not the sort of guy she'd ordinarily go for.
"I feel the same way," he says.
Clint and Gina's conversation shed additional insight on certain body-shaming remarks he made in a trailer for the forthcoming season. The incident appeared to occur during the group's honeymoon. "The girls I have dated are very athletic, slender," he says to the other cast members while his wife, who has a curvier figure, sits next to him.
Clint's statements do not appear to warm him to the other women. Domynique bites her lower lip and frowns while Clint talks. In an interview with the show's producers, Nicole blasts him. "He has made comments that are offensive to every woman out there with a real, natural body," she claims. "You’re a d**k."
When 'Married at First Sight' airs on Lifetime on Wednesday, February 1 at 8 PM ET, you can see the full awkward confrontation.
