'MAFS' Season 16: Fans glad as Domynique's mom expresses concern regarding race and acceptance to Mackinley

NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE: On the most recent episode of 'Married at First Sight,' Season 16, Domynique's mother speaks with her new groom to address their ethnicity and the acceptance surrounding it. Fans believe the conversation was necessary since Mackinley's family may not be fully supportive of the marriage.

Domynique talks to Mackinley's mother and sister, who say they wish he had a more traditional courting but are supportive. Domynique expresses her fear about being accepted as a biracial lady, and Mackinley's family attempts to convince her that she is, but as an outsider, it feels a little lukewarm. 'MAFS' fans seem happy that Domynique's mother chose to put forward her concern right away. One viewer on Twitter wrote, "Im happy Domynique and her family brought up their concerns regarding race right away. If they do make it, it would be terrible for her to meet a racist ass granny later down the line." Another person added, "Domynique’s mom is spittin! She’s saying a word!" On the other hand, fans aren't sure if Mackinley's family is on board with this marriage, "Mackinley’s mom and sister are trying to find a nice way to let Dom know they’re not with this s**t." Another viewer quipped, "OMGGGG Mackinley Grandma was so scared that Domynique was gonna ask if they are racist LOL!!!!!"

Some fans also feared that something must have happened during the wedding or at the reception which led to this conversation.
