'Into the Dark: Tentacles': Release date, plot, cast and all you need to know about Hulu's horror anthology series

Previously the anthology series has delivered some strong, violent bloodbath for V-day, like Season 1's 'Down' and Season 2's 'My Valentine'

Hulu's monthly horror 'Into the Dark' is back and resuming its second season! It's an exciting time indeed for the cult level fan following the show has amassed with it's signature style of releasing a separate anthology installment centered around a festival that signifies the month of its release. So of course the February release has to be surrounding the most romantic holiday of the year – Valentine's Day. Previously the show has delivered some strong, violent bloodbath for V-day, like Season 1's 'Down' and Season 2's 'My Valentine'. This time the story plummets into the horrors of toxic relationships with 'Tentacles'. Sound ominous enough? Read on to find out all you need to know about it.

Release date

Arriving right in time to mark Valentine's Day, 'Into the Dark: Tentacles' releases on February 12, dropping at midnight ET only on Hulu. Blumhouse Productions announced the news on their official Twitter account with a first look photo, along with the words: "Incoming news! Just in time for #ValentinesDay, actors Dana Drori, @CaseyDeidrick, @evan_m_williams, and @KaseyEliseW will star in Tentacles, the next terrifying installment of Blumhouse's #IntoTheDark. Premiering Feb. 12 on @hulu! Take a [...] at this first look image"

Plot

According to the official synopsis, "Tara and Sam fall head over heels into a new romance and entwine their lives — until their intimacy transforms into something terrifying.” While nothing can be as blissful as new love, nothing can be more torturous when the same match made in heaven goes awry. The anthology series promises drama, action, and all the horrors of losing oneself in relationships – neatly rolled into 'Tentacles'.

Cast

Dana Drori will be playing the leading role of Tara, who finds herself besotted with her new relationship. Casey Deidrick plays Sam, the man who wins over Tara. The episode also stars Evan Williams and Kasey Elise, in yet to be credited roles. 

Creator

Coming from the production house that gave us iconic realistic horrors like 'The Purge' and the supernatural refreshers like 'The Paranormal Activity' franchises, Tentacles is directed by Cara Aranovich, based on a script from Nick Antosca and Alexandra Pechman.
