You have known and seen Melissa McCarthy in the quirkiest and wittiest comedy sketches, hosting talk shows, and being at her creative best.

Now, you can see the actor-comedian-writer in a whole new role! Starring as a guest on HGTV’s upcoming show 'Celebrity IOU', you will see McCarthy exploring her home renovation skills too! In an exclusive sneak peek of the episode featuring the celebrity, she walks us through her project which she takes up with the famous Property Brothers — Drew and Jonathan Scott.

McCarthy shares her plan to renovate her uncle and aunt’s home, with a complete overhaul, as a gift to the wonderful senior couple, who, as Melissa says, has always helped out people in need and she feels that it’s time that she gives a little something back to them and make them feel appreciated for all they have done throughout their life.

As explained by HGTV, the show will see more such celebrities involving themselves in redesigning the homes/spaces of their friends/family. With every episode, we will see the guest help their near and dear ones overhaul their spaces and turn it around, with the help of the Scott brothers. And while they do that, we will also get to learn about their personal lives, their respective takes on home improvement, architectural aesthetics and more.

The renovation ideas would be quite similar to other Property Brothers’ shows, but with a very different twist and a personal touch of each celebrity involved. You can expect to see transformation, redesigning, upgrades, and personalization of exterior and interior spaces, just as we see Melissa McCarthy taking up for her uncle’s home.
More such projects will include converting a detached garage into a gorgeous yet functional guest retreat, overhauling a lackluster backyard into an entertainer’s dream, and taking a condo from its outdated ‘70s style to a modern, cozy home perfect for family gatherings.

Across the season, the Scott brothers will explore different locations around the country and create stunning spaces in limited timelines, as is quintessential to their brand.
Among other guests on the show, you will also get to see the Oscar-winning actor, Brad Pitt, along with television stars Oscar, Emmy and Tony Awards winner Viola Davis, actress, writer, producer and fashion designer, Rebel Wilson, singer, songwriter and producer Michael Bublé, and actor-producer and musician, Jeremy Renner.

‘Celebrity IOU’ is all set to premiere on Monday, April 13, at 9 pm ET/8c on HGTV.
