LINCOLN CITY, CANADA: Part 2 of sci-fi Canadian film 'Code 8' dropped on Netflix, on Wednesday, February 28. Set in a dystopian city, the film continues the story of Connor Reed (Robbie Amell), who is out of jail after five years and embarks on a mission to save 14-year-old girl, Pavani Gilani (Sirena Gulamgaus), whose brother was brutally killed by a cop.
In their fight for survival, Connor and Pavani make the bold decision to cease running and seek justice for Tarak's death by exposing the corrupt police officers involved.
Sergeant Kingston launches an attack on Tower
Connor, Pavani, and Garrett Kelton (Stephen Amell) successfully manage to steal a K9 dog from Kingstone's residence. However, as they arrive at the Tower to execute their plan, Garrett deceives them.
Instead of broadcasting the footage of Tarak's death, he opts to use it as leverage in a deal with Sargeant Kingston (Alex Mallari Jr), aiming to gain control of LCPD.
When King and his unit arrive at the Tower to reclaim their dog, Garrett returns it but keeps the head, containing all the data, for himself. As he proposes the new deal, King unexpectedly stabs him and orders his forces to raid the building and retrieve Pavani and the missing dog's head.
With the situation spiraling out of control, Connor and Pavani persuade Garrett's team to hand over the head, realizing that leaking the footage through the media van outside is their only recourse. However, before they can escape, they come under attack from the police.
During the violent altercation, a K9 dog attacks Connor in the corridor, injecting him with a dangerous dose of Psyke. Fortunately, Pavani intervenes just in time, seizing control of the K9 unit before it can kill Connor.
During this moment, King's most trusted officer arrives on the scene and accidentally shoots Pavani in the abdomen.
Connor Reed and Pavani Gilani expose Kingston in 'Code 8: Part II'
Connor swiftly regains his composure and escorts Pavani outside the building, where they are confronted by officers with firearms. Fortunately, Officer Davis and Garrett's intervention saves them from the shootout.
In the climactic scene, Connor harnesses his electro-kinetic abilities to power up the hard drive within the K9's head, while a wounded Pavani utilizes her powers to transfer the data from the hard drive to a media camera, exposing King's criminal activities to the world.
As King emerges from the building, attempting to halt the broadcast by shooting Connor, Garrett intervenes, repaying a debt he owes. With King's crimes exposed, he is arrested and subsequently convicted for his involvement in a corruption scheme centered in downtown Lincoln.
The attorney general initiates a comprehensive investigation into the K9 program, suspecting the involvement of additional parties in the corruption.
In a gesture to address the injustices inflicted upon power-enabled individuals, City Hall passed legislation to provide financial assistance to the Monument Hill community and impose restrictions on the use of police robots within the neighborhood.

Connor takes control of Mina's (Jean Yoon) community center and re-opens it as a hub for the local children.
Pavani, who suffered a gunshot, miraculously survives and joins Connor at the Community Center to assist in its operations.
