We all have been eagerly awaiting for the gloomy times of the pandemic to end. To give us some respite and lift our spirits, Hallmark Channel has come into action. It is offering a wide array of feel-good films under its annual ‘Countdown to Christmas’ programming event. The films look ethereal and have the common theme of festivity, inspiration, and positivity, something that we need in these distressing times.

Of these, ‘Good Morning Christmas!’ is a movie that can appeal to one with its bickering yet bright characters. The film will portray two hosts and their sour professional relationship where they take a trip to a town that has won the Christmas contest. The movie from its first appearance seems to put up a fun and jovial narrative where it would be interesting to know about the changing chemistry of the lead pair.

‘Good Morning Christmas!’ will premiere on Wednesday, November 25 at 8 pm ET on Hallmark Channel.

Plot

The official synopsis of the film reads, “Melissa Merry (Sweeney) and Brian Bright (Blucas) are America’s favorite hosts from the top-rated morning show, ‘Today with Bright & Merry’. What America doesn’t know is Melissa and Brian cannot stand to be in the same room with one another. Producer Jennifer (Nicole Oliver) reminds Merry & Bright they must spend the upcoming week in Mistletoe, the town that won the show’s Christmas contest, where Mel and Brian will film on location. Unfortunately for Melissa and Brian, they must not only put on a happy face in front of the cameras but also pretend to like each other in front of the entire town. Will they finally come clean on Christmas about their mutual dislike, or will the town that loves Christmas reveal to them their true feelings for each other?"

Alison Sweeney is a multifaceted personality as she is an award-winning actress, producer, director, content supplier, television host, and author. Sweeney currently features and acts as executive producer for ‘Chronicle Mysteries’, which she co-created based on her passion for true crime podcasts and serial storytelling. She has earlier worked in many Crown Media films like ‘Christmas at Holly Lodge’, ‘The Irresistible Blueberry Farm’, ‘Love on the Air’, and the ‘Murder She Baked’ franchise to name some. Besides film and production work Sweeney has authored some books on fitness and nutrition which is an area of her interest. The books under her credit include ‘All the Days of My Life (So Far)’ in 2004 and ‘The Mommy Diet’ in 2010.

Marc Blucas is widely known amongst television and feature film audiences. He has shined on the big screen with roles in ‘Knight and Day’, ‘The Alamo’, and ‘We Were Soldiers’ to name a few. The actor has more than 30 films under his credit with appearances in ‘Pleasantville’, ‘Eddie’, ‘Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back’, ‘First Daughter’ to name some.
