Golden Globes 2024: Why is Kieran Culkin against 'Succession' spinoff? Actor calls HBO show's sequel a 'horrible idea'
BEVERLY HILTON, LOS ANGELES: 'Home Alone' child actor Kieran Culkin ignited sparks as he claimed having a spinoff for HBO's 'Succession' is a "horrible idea" at the Golden Globes 2024.
When asked, "Do we want a 'Succession' spinoff for you?" the actor replied, "I feel like spin-off is a horrible idea." The answer stunned the interviewers and he asked, "Why?"
Culkin claimed, "Because it's a spin-off, just the word's been off." He intended to claim that often spin-off shows don't work out well.
Culkin then played safe by saying, "Sometimes it's gonna work." He then thought for a while and said, "Cousin Greg would make a good spinoff show."
A user uploaded Culkin's photo saying, "ATEEEE THE F**K DOWN." Another mocked him, "Sorry pleaseignore my behaviour im so f**king evil rn OHH MY GOD KIERAN CULKIN."
Another called out the actor and wrote, "He needs a job." Hearing Culkin claiming spinoff to be a horrible idea, one tweeted, "Turns out I actually don't want a succession spinoff."

Kieran Culkin honors his children at Golden Globes 2024
Culkin was seen giving a special nod to the camera for his children. Donning an all-black suit on the red carpet, Culkin revealed that his outfit showed a sweet gesture toward his children.
Culkin has 2 children with his wife Jazz Charton -- daughter Kinsey Siouz, 4, and son Wilder Wolf, 2.
Culkin ever pulled up his sleeves to show off the custom friendship bracelet that had their names on it.
"Hi guys! Go to sleep!" Culkin said during a pre-show interview.

Culkin is nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in Drama TV Series for the 4th and final season of HBO's 'Succession'.
Culkin has also received a supporting actor award for the previous seasons of the show.
