With Christmas around the corner, television cable network Freeform has planned a series of holiday-themed films for its viewers. In addition to a few classics such as, 'Frosty the Snowman', 'Home Alone Movies', 'Red-Nosed Reindeer' and more, the roaster comprises a couple of Freeform's original films.

This festive season, the network is debuting its original feature film 'Ghosting: The Spirit of Christmas' starring 'The Bold Type' star Aisha Dee. The movie promises endless entertainment to binge on while you step into the holiday mood. Are you planning on watching the movie? Here's everything you need to know:

Plot 

The protagonist Jess is a free-spirited young woman, who is content with her near-perfect life. However, destiny had different plans for her when she heads back from a rather pleasant first date.

Following her demise in a car accident, Jess’ spirit possesses her own body. The story revolves around the adventures and struggles of Jess' unsettling spirit to achieve the ideal afterlife.

However, there's more to this story! Jess’s friend Kara is the only one aware of the former's presence even after her death, as she can see the spirit and even communicate with her. But will Kara be able to help Jess’ soul rest in peace with her New Age rituals and practices? Find out as the movie unveils the answer.

Release

'Ghosting: The Spirit of Christmas' will air on Freeform on December 4, as part of its 25-day-long movie marathon.

Aisha Dee

Aisha Dee, who essays the role of Jess in the network original, is popular for her role as Desi Biggins in children's television series 'The Saddle Club' that aired between 2008 and 2009. 'Ghosting: The Spirit of Christmas' isn't her first association with Freeform as the two parties previously collaborated for the comedy-drama series 'The Bold Type'.

Kimiko Glenn

Actress, singer and Broadway performer Kimiko Glenn gained recognition for her portraying Brook Soso in Netflix's 'Orange Is the New Black'. The comedy-drama helped her rack three Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Kimiko has featured in several television shows and films since OITNB concluded. Some of her notable includes 'Nerve', 'Like Father' and 'Can You Keep A Secret'.

The ensemble cast also includes Kendrick Sampson who is seen as Ben, Missi Pyle, who plays Kara’s healer and Jazz Raycole, as Ben’s sister Mae. Lissa Gay Hamilton essays the role of Jess’s mother Deb.

Creators/Showrunners

Theresa Bennet has directed 'Ghosting: The Spirit of Christmas', while Laura Donney has worked on the script. Lisa Kudrow and Dan Bucatinsky serve as the executive producers in addition to Joan Rater and Tony Phelan.

Donney has also created the mini-series 'Suite Hearts', 'The Fantastic Adventures of Foolish Gentleman' and 'Gorgeous Grandpa Comedy'.
