Gabby Petito's parents ask the Laundries to hand over bank statements from weeks after her death
TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA: Gabby Petito's parents have now requested bank statements from Brian Laundrie's parents to obtain financial statements and information about transactions during the week of her death. Nichole Schmidt and Joseph Petito, Gabby's parents, allege that Laundrie's parents withheld information about Gabby's whereabouts after Brian strangled her at a Wyoming campshite.
The statement reads, "Please produce all copies of bank statements or other documents evidencing withdrawals or transfers of funds made by you in excess of $10,000 from August 26, 2021 to September 14, 2021." The Laundries are given 30 days to respond to the query.

The old statement explained, "This is understandably an extremely difficult time for both the Petito family and the Laundrie family. It is our understanding that a search has been organized for Miss Petito in or near Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming. On behalf of the Laundrie family it is our hope that the search for Miss Petito is successful and that Miss Petito is reunited with her family.
On the advice of counsel the Laundrie family is remaining in the background at this juncture and will have no further comment." It further added, "This is understandably an extremely difficult time for both the Petito family and the Laundrie family.
