Florida man arrested under suspicion of DUI after entering wrong lane and killing woman, 41, on August 20

ORLANDO, FLORIDA: A 24-year-old Orlando man was arrested on Sunday, August 20, under suspicion of DUI after he crashed and killed a 41-year-old woman who tried to swerve out of the way when a driver entered her lane, the Florida Highway Patrol reports. 

Officials said that Valerio Sebastian Domingo of Orlando was booked into the Orange County Jail on several charges, including two counts of driving without a license causing death/serious injury, DUI causing death and DUI causing serious bodily injuries, WESH reports. 

When did the accident occur?

The crash took place just before midnight on Thursday near the intersection of Balcombe Road and Braxted Drive in Orlando. Domingo was driving in the opposite direction, south of Braxted Drive while the victim from Orlando was driving northbound on Balcombe Road. 



 

As per the crash report, he was unable to negotiate a right-hand curve and entered the northbound lane.

Domingo reportedly was in the direct path of the woman's vehicle and his vehicle's front left collided with the left side of hers.

The woman tried to serve to escape the accident but she unfortunately died after she was sent to an area hospital with injuries. 

What happened to Domingo?

Domingo suffered serious injuries and was also transported to a local medical facility. The passenger in his car was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The crash still remains under police investigation. 

Florida man dies after 'exiting' moving ambulance on I-95 

Meaww previously reported that a Florida man died after 'exiting' from a moving ambulance on Interstate 95.

A paramedic who tried to prevent him from exiting the vehicle also fell down and suffered life-threatening injuries.

The incident took place on Tuesday on August 15 as per WPTV, when the 70-year-old man tried to exit the ambulance. The deceased, who was being carried in the ambulance, exited the vehicle and fell onto Interstate 95.

The Florida Highway Patrol said that after he fell down, he was run over by several cars, including a 2023 Kia sedan and a 2020 Volvo tractor.

The news outlet further revealed that the incident took place just before 9 pm on Tuesday at the southbound flank of Interstate-95 near Midway Road in Port St Lucie.

According to TCPalm.com, the ambulance was driven by a 38-year-old woman from Orange County. She stopped the ambulance on the outside shoulder of the southbound I-95.

Lt Indiana Miranda said the deceased was a resident of Jacksonville who “exited the rear of the ambulance and fell onto the roadway.” He was pronounced dead at the scene.
