CLEAR WATER, FLORIDA: Idel Noy-Quesada, a 23-year-old Florida man, was arrested on September 4 after he reportedly started throwing Snickers bars at two Walgreens employees at 1.20 am, according to police.

The late night candy attack reportedly did not cause any injuries to the staff. Noy-Quesada allegedly lost his cool after he was denied service.

Why did Walgreens staff refuse to cater to Florida man Idel Noy-Quesada?

Idel Noy-Quesada, 23, allegedly fought with employees after making unsuccessful attempts to purchase cigarettes at a Walgreens store in Clearwater, according to police.

Despite presenting a photo of an ID card, Noy-Quesada "was refused service due to the business's policy," as per a criminal complaint cited by The Smoking Gun. This enraged Noy-Quesada and prompted his subsequent tantrum at being refused his nicotine fix.

Florida man's unusual weapon of choice

Online stories regarding rampages show a man attacking a woman with stone, gun, knife and many other so-called "dangerous" items.

But this Florida man used what he could lay his hands on right at that moment — which happened to be Snickers bars.

However, despite his 'sweet' weapon, Idel Noy-Quesada is still facing the consequences of his late-night, Snickers-pelting escapade. His actions resulted in a police criminal complaint and even misdemeanor battery charges against him.

Noy-Quesada reportedly grew "irate" after being denied his cigarettes and hurled a Snickers bar at a female worker first.

The candy, which is made of nougat, caramel, and peanuts and is covered in milk chocolate and can be quite hefty, hit the employee in her face.

Noy-Quesada was then asked to leave the store by a second employee, but he resisted.

Instead, Noy-Quesada is accused of throwing multiple Snickers bars at the other Walgreens employee, injuring him in the chest, while acting inebriated.

Even though Noy-Quesada insisted that he hadn't intended to toss the candy at the second employee, surveillance video proved otherwise, demonstrating that he "was very intentional where he directed the Snickers bars," as per the Smoking Gun.

The female employee told the cops about being hit in the face first by the candy bar and two of the defendant's cousins also supported her account.

What are the charges against the Florida man?

Noy-Quesada was arrested for two charges of misdemeanor battery. He was taken into custody and released from the county jail after posting a $ 1,000 bond.
