LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The focus of 'Firefly Lane' Season 2 Part 2 is undoubtedly Kate Mularkey's battle with cancer. While there are several subplots in 'Firefly Lane' Season 2, with Tully Hart and Danny Diaz's story being a personal favorite, the main focus remains on Kate.
Katherine Heigl, Sarah Chalke, and Ben Lawson delivered some of their best performances in 'Firefly Lane' Season 2 Episode 14, and despite the tears clouding our vision, you can't look away. Admittedly, this episode is the most emotional episode of 'Firefly Lane' yet, and it would be incredibly hard to top it. So, grab your box of tissues!

Two weddings and a cancer
When Kate went into remission, everyone around her was overjoyed, and of course, she was. But things take a turn for the worse when she gets an unwanted call from her doctor telling her that cancer has become more aggressive and things aren't looking good. But for the good of everyone, she tries to keep it to herself, because Johnny and she were finally going to get married... once again!
Episode 14 of 'Firefly Lane' shifts focus between the first wedding of Johnny and Kate and their second wedding. The first wedding is a small, intimate event that makes the couple the laughingstock of everyone in attendance. People can't seem to get over the fact that Kate accepted Johnny's proposal right after her engagement to Theo ended. But Kate and Johnny are only interested in one thing - getting married and starting their lives.
Meanwhile, in 2016, Kate and Johnny get married one more time, but this time, before their vows that promise an eternity, Kate is forced to tell Johnny about cancer after an unfortunate incident. This particular scene shows how talented Sarah Chalke and Ben Lawson are and that this was the perfect casting for these characters.
Is this 'Firefly Lane's best episode so far?
'Firefly Lane' Season 2 Episode 14 may feel a little overwhelming at some points because it's like attending two weddings, but the fact that both feature Johnny, Kate, and their unconditional love for each other makes it a seamless and exhilarating experience. This episode was entirely dedicated to Johnny and Kate and goes down in history as one of the best episodes of 'Firefly Lane.'
