'Feel the Beat': Release date, plot, cast, trailer and all you need to know about Netflix's feel-good dance movie
We love films about success stories, those that highlight the 'started from the bottom, now I'm here' theme. Watching a character transition from someone who had no hope and make it big with hard work, determination and creativity could strike a chord with us and that's exactly what Netflix's newest offering is bound to do. A feel-good family pic, 'Feel the Beat', is an ensemble dance movie centering on a passionate small-town girl with big city dreams.
Release date
'Feel the Beat' is slated to premiere on June 19, on Netflix.
Plot
The new Netflix flick draws attention to April, an aspiring, 'self-centered' Broadway dancer, who is banished from Broadway after she blows her audition. With her career sabotaged, she takes her father's advice and returns to her small Wisconsin hometown. While it may feel good to be back home, she's not about to let everyone in her tight-knit community know of her failed audition. She's trying her best to avoid everyone, even her first love Nick. However, fate isn't exactly on her side because she draws attention from her former dance teacher at the local supermarket. She is reluctantly recruited to teach a group of misfits to dance, in time for a big competition which is only two weeks away. April thinks she's found her ticket to Broadway yet again, but along the way, she realizes she's gained so much more.
