Fans call 'RHONJ' producers 'genius' for casting Danielle, say 'found a mirror for Melissa'

Fans hail Bravo for casting Danielle with a similar storyline as Melissa

NEW JERSEY, USA: On the February 21 episode of 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey,' Danielle Cabral addresses her estrangement with her brother Thomas DiPietro (blaming her sister-in-law) with Melissa Gorga. Fans chastised Melissa for dismissing Danielle's side of the story, as they feel she is in a similar situation with Teresa Giudice.

Sisters-in-law and co-stars, Teresa and Melissa's relationship has been on and off for years. For more than a decade, fans of 'RHONJ' have witnessed the ebbs and flows of the dispute, with one of the early televised flareups occurring when Melissa's husband Joe Gorga, who is also Teresa's brother, branded Teresa "garbage." Melissa and Teresa have swapped insults in between uneasy moments of calm for the sake of the family. As a result, when Danielle blamed her sister-in-law for her continuing quarrel with her own brother, Melissa's dismissal of Danielle's concerns offended viewers.

Melissa's conversation with Danielle about what is going on in her own family was fascinating to viewers. Danielle claims that she and her mother do not communicate with her brother. And why? Because he made fun of her Instagram account, she blocked him, and he called to take her off the guest list at his wedding. That was two years ago now, and they are still not over it. Melissa immediately dismisses this as nonsense. Danielle opens up about how she wanted to help her sister-in-law with the wedding, but it was all about her. Just like Teresa, she blames her sister-in-law.

Melissa appeared to be insulted by Danielle's take on the situation. She also mentions how she continually encourages Joe to make amends with Teresa. "It's not always the sister-in-law's fault," law's she concedes. When Danielle says she'd hate to see Joe and Teresa's relationship end the same way hers did with her brother, Melissa says it's ultimately Joe's decision, and she's tried enough.

Fans ask 'Danielle has a Melissa Gorga in her life?'

Fans feel, "Danielle low key saying melissa is clearly the problem between Teresa and joe without actually saying it." Calling the producers genius for the perfect casting a fan wrote, "These #RHONJ producers are genius. They literally went out and found a mirror for Melissa in Danielle's situation and she still doesn't get it. When they get cut, she can't say they didn't try to give her a chance to save her job." Another added, "“It’s not always the sister-in-law’s fault.” Obviously the original issues are very different, but it’s pretty wild how similar Danielle’s situation with her brother and his new wife is to Teresa’s with Joe and Melissa." On the other hand, some fans question the casting, "So this is why Danielle is Teresa’s friend… Once again blaming the wife when its the BROTHER. I cannot. I don’t even like Melissa and y’all have me taking up for her!"

Others believe, "They’re literally about to bring in Danielle’s brother next season and kick out melissa, so they can recycle the“hated sister in law”storyline." One fan also quipped, "So Danielle has a Melissa Gorga in her life???" Wishing to know more, a fan also tweeted, "Forget about Melissa, where is Danielle Cabral's sister in law? I can't imagine she's too happy about Danielle talking about her on a show that she's not even on to defend herself." Another viewer added, "Danielle calling out the wife as “the problem” and Melissa’s dumbfounded look is sending me."
