'Ex on the Beach’: Fans are happy as Devin Walker and Shannon Duffy leave the final crush ceremony together
When Shannon Duffy and Devin Walker got together on ‘Ex on the Beach’, everybody was unhappy and thought Devin was just Shannon’s rebound from her ex-boyfriend Anthony M. Nobody expected the couple to last, let alone leave the show together as a couple. So, when during the final crush ceremony, Devin chose to explore a relationship with Shannon outside of the show, fans were both happy and pleasantly surprised by this turn of events.
Last week’s episode revealed Shannon’s strong feelings for Devin through her responses to the lie-detector test. Shannon’s responses revealed that the reality star was over her ex, Anthony M, and was ready to get serious with Devin. It came as a surprise to Devin, who didn’t expect Shannon to have such strong feelings for him. In the finale episode, which aired on October 17, we saw Devin wondering about how quickly Shannon got over Anthony who she was in love with and if he should pursue the relationship.

Finally, during the crush ceremony, Devin had us all convinced that he wouldn’t be leaving the show alone when he got all serious and revealed that he used humor to deflect from situations and wasn’t sure if he was ready for a relationship. Shannon quickly reminded him that even she was like him and that she was willing to be more patient with him. Just as we were beginning to feel sorry for Shannon, Devin shocked everybody by announcing at the last minute that he wanted to give the necklace to Shannon and see if they can work things out. It was an extremely emotional moment, and several cast members like Aubrey and Ariana could be seen shedding some happy tears for the new couple.
Fans too couldn’t stop themselves from expressing their joy for this new couple. A fan tweeted, “#ExOnTheBeach Aww, that was such a cute moment! Team Devin & Shannon!” Another fan wrote, “Shannon and Devin were unexpected but adorbs. #ExOnTheBeach”. Several fans felt that Shannon was good for Devin, as we are getting to see Devin open up and being mature around her. Another fan echoed similar thoughts with, “Devin is opening up to Shannon.
