MANCHESTER, UNITED KINGDOM: 'The Circle,' Netflix's gripping reality competition series, is all about making relationships – genuine or phony. Contestants do not meet each other in person, but they are entrusted with projecting their best face (or catfish identity) in a fun game of social media strategy.

'The Circle' has become one of the most popular reality shows on Netflix over the last several years and four seasons, which is saying a lot given the competition on the streaming site. The show combines aspects from 'Catfish' and 'Big Brother' to create a funny, and at times stressful, social media-based competition experience that has remained popular with fans since its January 2020 premiere. Longtime fans and newcomers alike are undoubtedly wondering when 'The Circle' Season 5 will air and expose them to another round of tasks carried out by new cast members. So sit back and relax, because we're going to break down all we know about the fan-favorite series, including where it will appear on the Netflix schedule in 2022 and other details, such as alterations coming to the game in the very near future.

Netflix is shaking things up for the fifth season of its famous reality TV series, claiming that all the participants will be single before the game begins. This time, the program is named 'The Circle: Singles,' and there will be a love and dating element to the game, according to Netflix. There haven't been many details released about how the new format will affect the series, but when announcing the change, the streaming platform stated that the "romantically available" contestants will once again compete for popularity with their fellow co-stars, who are also confined in small apartments with just social media as a tool of communication. This premise will very certainly lead to even more catfishing among contestants, as well as flirty behavior and eventual drama as they compete on 'The Circle: Singles.'

Michelle Bureau, the show's longtime host, will once again guide contestants and fans at home through the fifth season. Michelle, who featured in 2022 films including 'Clerks III,' 'Crush,' 'Moonshot,' and 'Marry Me,' has confirmed that she will return to keep the singles in check and the reality show on track.
Catch 'The Circle' Season 5 on Netflix on December 28.
