'Escape the Undertaker': Release date, spoilers and all about Netflix horror film
WWE is undoubtedly one of the most popular modes of entertainment in the entire world and has billions of fans around the world. The company is responsible for creating larger-than-life figures like Stone Cold Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan, The Rock, Shawn Michaels, John Cena, and many more. But, if there’s one superstar who stood the test of time and became a legend of the game is none other than The Undertaker.
So, it doesn’t come as a surprise that WWE will be using their ace in the deck to make a bombastic entry on Netflix. The entertainment company is partnering with the streaming giant to come out with an interactive horror film titled ‘Escape the Undertaker’. The movie revolves around The Undertaker (whose real name is Mark Calaway) and takes place in his haunted mansion where he is using his dark magical powers to pose difficulties for the record-breaking WWE tag-team The New Day (Big E, Kofi Kingston, and Xavier Woods).

Plot
“In this interactive film featuring WWE Superstars, The Undertaker has set a trap for the decorated tag team The New Day at his mansion. What they don't know: The Undertaker’s mansion is an extreme Haunted House, packed to the brim with supernatural challenges. It’s up to viewers to decide the fate of these three poor souls trying to survive the wrath of The Undertaker.”
Cast
The cast of ‘Escape the Undertaker’ includes 4 WWE Superstars who’ll definitely entertain you to the core. The Undertaker will be playing the role of the antagonist while The New Day will be trying to get out of the haunted mansion with the help of the audience.
The Undertaker is one of the few iconic names associated with the entertainment company since its inception and continues to be an influential figure among the WWE Universe. He made his debut in 1990 and instantly became a fan favorite. During his career, he has won WWE Championship (4 times), World Heavyweight Championship (3 times), and World Tag-Team Championship (6 times). He also held the record of having 21 consecutive wins in Wrestlemania.
Meanwhile, The New Day didn’t join WWE as a tag team and made their debut as individual wrestlers. They made their debut as The New Day in November 2014. One of the most popular and decorated teams in WWE history, The New Day (Big E and Xavier Woods) holds the record of having the longest tag team championship reign in WWE history at 483 days.
On the other hand, Kingston went on to become the WWE Champion.
Creators
Netflix and WWE are getting into a partnership for the upcoming Halloween special. The movie will be directed by Ben Simms while Ben Silverman, Howard T. Owens, Drew Buckley, Susan Levison, Ben Zierten, Rob Buchta, and Liz Schulze serve as executive producers.
Trailer
The trailer is really spooky and it seems fans will have a good time watching this one. In the clip, we see The Undertaker talking about his vast knowledge of dark magic, as well as his infamous urn which gives him supernatural powers. The New Day arrives at his door and asks if he could combine the powers of the urn with their own power of positivity. The combination will make them unstoppable in WWE and they will never be defeated.
