LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Niecy Nash-Betts secures her first Emmy win.

On Monday night, January 15, the accomplished actress clinched the Best Supporting Actress in a Limited Series award, receiving a heartfelt standing ovation for her inspiring acceptance speech.

Nash-Betts began her speech by saying, "I’m a winner, baby! Thank you to the most high for this divine moment. Thank you, Ryan Murphy, for seeing me. Evan Peters, I love you. Netflix. Every single person who voted for me. Thank you. My better half, who picked me up when I was gutted from this work. Thank you.”

In a self-empowering moment, the Emmy winner acknowledged herself, saying, “I want to thank me, for believing in me and doing what they said I could not do. I want to say to myself in front of all you beautiful people, ‘Go, girl, with your bad self. You did that.’ Finally, I accept this award on behalf of every Black and Brown woman who have gone unheard, yet overpoliced, like Glenda Cleveland, like Sandra Bland, like Breonna Taylor!"

This marks, Nash-Betts first win at the Emmy Awards. 

Soon after, the fans raved over Niecy's beautiful speech. 

An X user shared, "What a speech! This win is long overdue for @NiecyNash- a talent."

Niecy Nash-Betts received the nomination for her stellar performance in 'Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story,' portraying the role of Glenda Cleveland in the Netflix crime adaptation.

Other nominees who were competing for the award included  'Welcome to Chippendales' actresses Annaleigh Ashford and Juliette Lewis, Beef's Maria Bello, Claire Danes of 'Fleishman Is In Trouble', Camila Morrone of 'Daisy Jones & The Six', and Tiny Beautiful Things' Merritt Weaver.
