'Emergence' Episode 7: Emily tells Piper she is her mother and encourages her to hurt people; Can Jo save her in time?

Since all of Emily and Piper's interactions are happening in an alternate reality, we wonder if Jo will even be able to help her. However, she seems to have figured out that something is fishy

Since the very beginning of our introduction to Emily (Maria Dizzia), she had us convinced that she is a victim. We had assumed her to be a victim of Kindred (Terry O'Quinn), who is just trying to survive and Episode 6 of 'Emergence' proved that she was just playing everyone.

It turns out she had some secrets of her own, which she did not share with the gang as she puppeteered Jo (Allison Tolman) and Benny (Owain Yeoman) on a wild goose chase.

It turns out that the person visiting Piper (Alexa Swinton) in an alternate dimension and communicating with her is not really Kindred at all, but Emily. And now, the fact that "Kindred" told Piper that he hopes one day Piper would start thinking of him as home makes perfect sense.

Emily wants Piper to like her, in fact, she wants her to love her. In the trailer for the upcoming Episode 8 titled 'Fatal Exception', we see her telling the young AI that she is her mother.

Even though Piper emphatically claims that Emily is lying, towards the end of the trailer we see her hurting Benny and destroying her surroundings when Emily tells her that he is hurting her.

It is clear that Emily's intentions with Piper are villainous. At one point we even hear her claiming that Piper is not doing the one thing she is supposed to do, which is loving her.

Since all of Emily and Piper's interactions are happening in an alternate reality, we wonder if Jo will even be able to help her. However, she seems to have figured out that something is fishy.

In the trailer, we see her saying that Emily is communicating with Piper and has even got into her head. Despite everything Emily feeds her, we hope that she remembers Jo's kindness and her warmth, and her genuine love for her.

She even allowed for her daughter Mia (Ashley Aufderheide) to move in with her father so that she can keep Piper safe.

We are really excited about this journey, especially since no other show has even remotely taken on a journey like this. Don't forget to watch Episode 8 of 'Emergence' when it airs on ABC on Tuesday, November 12.
