'Dying To Belong' 2021 has the same plotline as the 1997 movie of the same name and is its official remake. The movie follows journalism major Olivia who meets Riley, a shy freshman who suffers from anxiety, with them soon becoming close friends. Riley's mother Katherine was a legacy of the sorority Pi Gamma Beta, and so she too decides to join in the hopes of following in her mother's footsteps. She is overjoyed when Olivia joins her as well. Olivia takes this as an opportunity to go undercover to write a story about hazing practices, and soon discovers there is a lot more to being 'sisters' as the truth behind the sisterhood is darker than she imagined.

In the remake of the original 1997 two college students decide to join a sorority, but they soon discover deadly secrets. 'Dying To Belong' follows in the same steps with friends Olivia and Riley being exposed to the danger they didn't know existed.
