'Dancing With the Stars': Nelly and Daniella earn 8 points for waltz, furious fans ask 'where are the 9s?'

The pair did the Vietnamese waltz on a Tim McGraw song, honoring the hip-hop star's love for country music. All three judges rewarded him an 8/10 which fans think is unfair

Rapper Nelly has reminded fans about his love for country music on the recent episode of 'Dancing With the Stars'. Not many might know about his collaboration with Tim McGraw from 2004 on the song 'Over and Over'. Nelly and his partner, pro-dancer Daniella Karagach used the song to perform the Vietnamese waltz on Monday night's (Oct 19) episode and the fleeting performance left his fans wanting more.

The judges were very happy with Nelly's routine and he received some of the best comments from them. Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough, and Bruno Tonioli praised him for the softness, the body awareness, fluidity and charm that Nelly exhibited during the performance and Nelly couldn't help but flash his big smile that the audiences have come to love a lot.

None of the judges had anything negative to say about Nelly except for a small suggestion from Tonioli about loosening the shoulders a little bit. The hip-hop star scored 8s across the board for this performance but the audiences sitting at home seethed with rage as they felt he deserved more than an 8. A lot of them took to Twitter to make their displeasure felt about how the judges gave him an 8 after such great comments and many of them felt that he deserved all 9s for his dance.

Ya gave AJ all 9's and you telling me he delivered a better dance than Nelly. Negative! Yeah them judges are Hating #DWTS," tweeted another fan. "Nelly needs to win #dwts he’s a f**king #PGOM. and in case you don’t know that means precious gem of a man," read another tweet. "OK OK LEMME GET THIS STRAIGHT... NELLY & NEV got 8s but AJ & MONICA be getting 9s ?!?!?!?! #DWTS COME ON JUDGES," read another tweet. "@DancingABC I need higher scores for @Nelly_Mo that was one of his best dances and the waltz isn’t an easy one. #DWTS" wrote another. 

'Dancing With the Stars' airs Mondays at 8 pm ET on ABC.
