'Dancing With the Stars': Jesse Metcalfe booted, fans say 'most attractive celeb' of the season deserves a redo

Jesse is a charmer but dancing is not his strongest pursuit and it showed in all of his performances

'Dancing With the Stars' said goodbye to Jesse Metcalfe on Monday night. He along with pro-dancer Sharna Burgess, his pro-dancer partner in the competition did the tango in the October 12 episode that was dedicated to the glorious '80s. The show completed four weeks on the air on Monday and since the premiere night, the judges were looking forward to seeing Jesse do better. The TV and movie actor is a charmer but dancing is not his strongest pursuit and it showed in all of his performances.

The confident and sexy Jesse that people love to see was missing in this show. His nerves got the better of him and that may have added pressure to be perfect as everything weighed pretty hard on the 'Desperate Housewives' star as well leading to him never being able to look like he enjoyed performing on the 'DWTS' floor. He did try too hard to give the judges: Derek Hough, Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba what they wanted from him. A breakthrough performance was something that they suggested that Burgess should focus on getting Jesse to deliver and before that could happen, he was eliminated from the show on the basis of judges' scores and audience voting. 

Jesse's fans are completely heartbroken over the results and they took to Twitter to voice their displeasure. The 'John Tucker Must Die' star's fans are rallying behind him in the wake of his exit and are not backing down from calling the results inaccurate. "Really disappointed in the #DWTS results and honestly don’t believe that’s accurate," wrote a fan. "Well, goodbye to most attractive celeb this season :( #DWTS," wrote another fan. Another tweet read, "#DWTS Jessie should be safe he deserves a redo another couple barely danced one night and came on top he preformed perfectly dancing with the stars I will not be watching for now on. The judges have too many say they only need one" Another disappointed fan tweeted, "Hearing @jessemetcalfe and @SharnaBurgess get eliminated! I'm so sorry!! I have enjoyed watching #TeamAllIn each week. And I feel like you were improving each week, which is what this show is all about! You were my favorite partnership from the beginning! #DWTS @DancingABC." An encouraging fan wrote, "@jessemetcalfe you did a great job on #DWTS. Don’t be discouraged!" in hopes to cheer the eliminated star."

'Dancing With the Stars' airs on Mondays at 8 pm ET on ABC.
