HARFORD COUNTY, MARYLAND: Authorities in Maryland are making a fervent appeal to a specific group of individuals who were present on the same trail as Rachel Morin on the tragic night she was killed.

The 37-year-old, missing mother-of-five, was a victim of a grisly murder on a hiking trail in Maryland on Saturday, August 5.

Officials from Harford County are eager to reach out to a specific group of individuals accompanied by dogs, who were present on the 'Ma & Pa Trail' during the fateful evening, with hopes they possess vital information.

Morin was last seen at about 6 pm walking on a trail in Bel Air. Her boyfriend, Richard Tobin, reported her missing that night when she did not return home.

Tragically, Morin's body was discovered the following day, sparking the ongoing homicide investigation.

Did someone witness Rachel Morin's death?

Authorities are actively pursuing five witnesses, described as either "3 men, 2 women, and 2 dogs" or "2 men, 3 women, and 2 dogs," after receiving intelligence placing the group on the 'Ma & Pa Trail' between 6 pm and 7.30 pm, moving from the Rt 24 tunnel toward the split leading to the Williams Street trailhead.

In a shocking twist, it has been revealed that Morin, who fell victim to a horrific murder, was actively using multiple dating apps before her untimely disappearance.

Subsequently, on the day of her tragic demise, Morin had visited Glow – The Bronzing Studio on Red Pump Road, to get her daily spray tan at 2 pm.

An insider familiar with the salon confirmed that she was well-known to all staff members and had shared with the staff that she had been using "multiple dating sites" before her demise, reported New York Post.

Is Richard Tobin a suspect in Rachael Florin's murder?

Although Morin's romantic relationship with Tobin had recently become public, she had been using dating apps simultaneously.

This revelation contrasts with the fact that Tobin had been with her the day she went missing, dropping her off at her home shortly before 5 pm.

He confirmed this in a now-deleted Facebook comment. The couple was also reported to have gone to a Planet Fitness gym together.

However, Tobin's “home gym” is situated at the Rock Spring Road location, conveniently close to the tanning salon, yet staff members were unable to verify whether Morin had visited that gym on the day of her disappearance.

Nevertheless, an employee claimed that Morin mainly used the Abingdon location, which is 8 miles up the road off the Bel Air Bypass.

Rachael Florin's death was not 'accidental'

Authorities are pursuing leads on Tobin's potential whereabouts at the time of Morin's disappearance.

It has been speculated that he might have been attending an AA meeting at the Mann House, given his known involvement in recovery programs.

Moreover, Tobin, who has not been identified as a suspect, took on the responsibility of notifying authorities about his girlfriend's disappearance.

“She’s been missing since 7.pm, she went on a hike and me and the kids have been trying to find her since 9,” Tobin wrote in a now-deleted Facebook comment.

Michael Gabriszeski, the stepfather of the girl who found Morin's remains, stated she was naked and looked “like her head had been smashed in with a rock.”

As the investigation continues, Morin's cause of death is yet to be officially confirmed.

However, Harford County Sheriff Jeff Gahler has emphatically stated that her death was "not accidental." “This is foul play on the part of another,” Sheriff Gahler surmised.
