The upcoming movie 'Death on the Nile' is a mystery-thriller based on the 1937 novel by Agatha Christie. The movie portrays the emotional chaos and deadly consequences that are triggered by obsessive love. 'Death on the Nile' filmed with 65mm Panavision cameras in late 2019, will transport the audience to the 1930s.

The synopsis for the movie reads as, "Belgian sleuth Hercule Poirot's vacation aboard a glamorous river steamer turns into a terrifying search for a murderer when a picture-perfect couple's idyllic honeymoon is tragically cut short. Set against an epic landscape of sweeping Egyptian desert vistas and the majestic Giza pyramids, this tale of unbridled passion and incapacitating jealousy features a cosmopolitan group of impeccably dressed travellers, and enough wicked twists and turns to leave audiences guessing until the final, shocking denouement."

Who stars in 'Death on the Nile'?

Kenneth Branagh will play the male lead role of Hercule Poirot in the film. Gal Gadot will play the female lead as Linnet Ridgeway Doyle. Other stars of the movie are Tom Bateman, Sophie Okonedo, Rose Leslie and Armie Hammer.
