'Deadpool' gets first MCU crossover with Korg, excited fans love 'ad for Free Guy'
Fans are going gaga over Deadpool's first official crossover with MCU but it's not what one would have expected. Although the much-awaited 'Deadpool-Avengers' crossover is not tangible yet, Deadpool's official entry into the MCU is a reason enough to celebrate. Deadpool teamed up with Korg from 'Thor: Ragnarok' in a YouTube trailer reaction video for Ryan Reynolds' upcoming movie 'Free Guy'.
The reaction video marks the first time that Deadpool has officially appeared in an MCU character crossover. With a lot of time passed without any update on 'Deadpool 3' MCU status, this new development has once again raised fans' hopes. 'Free Guy' is set to release on August 13, 2021.

In the video, Reynolds as Deadpool and Taika Waititi, who voices Kronan rock warrior Korg from 'Thor: Ragnarok' and 'Avengers: Infinity War' come together to check out the trailer for 'Free Guy'. Deadpool comments in his quirky style that Korg was "NOT his first choice" for a guest reactor but "apparently everyone else was too busy over at Disney+". It is important to note that 'Free Guy' features both the actors. Reynolds tweeted the video and wrote, "If you include Deadpool’s cocaine rider, this is the most expensive reaction video ever made." On his Instagram, he wrote. "DP is officially in the MCU! He’s starting with reaction videos, then some social influencer work, onto Parks appearances all leading up to some after-credit work by 2030."

Written by Matt Lieberman and Zak Penn and directed by Shawn Levy, 'Free Guy' release date was pushed several times from the original July 2020 date due to the pandemic. 'Free Guy' became one of the first Fox films to fully progress under Disney ownership after Disney acquired the studio while it was still in development at 20th Century Fox. Meanwhile, Deadpool will officially join the MCU soon sometime in the current Phase 4, reports say. Also, according to Marvel head, Kevin Feige, the next Deadpool movie will arrive with an R rating.
