The article contains spoilers for 'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' Season 5 Episode 6 'Mortal Khanbat'

The latest episode of 'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' is here and it was a really fun hour of '90s action. 'Mortal Khanbat' was particularly special because the episode was the directorial debut of Caity Lotz, who stars on the show as Sara Lance / White Canary, captain of the Waverider and leader of the Legends.

The episode's take on '90s Asian cop flicks features some of the best action scenes of the season, and Terry Chen plays quite an imposing villain. A number of fans and Arrowverse stars, starting with 'The Flash' star Danielle Panabakerhave, have taken to social media to congratulate Lotz on a job well done.

"So proud of my girl @caitylotz!" Panabaker wrote on Twitter ahead of the episode airing. "Make sure you stay tuned after #TheFlash and watch the episode of @TheCW_Legends she directed tonight!"

Jes Macallan, who plays Sara's girlfriend Ava Sharpe on the show, chimed in with an Instagram post, "Tonight’s episode of @cw_legendsoftomorrow was directed by the one and only, my TV lover, @caitylotz ❤️👏💪 she absolutely smashed it and I am so happy I got to be there for her first episode. You can hear her passion in this video... and she made me look like a badass... which is always cool... cause I’m a silly dork in real life! Get ready for many more amazing projects from that #ladyboss."

So what's the verdict from the fans, you ask? Overwhelmingly positive, of course.

"This was, yet again, another perfect episode of ‘Legends Of Tomorrow’," one fan tweeted. "Well done, @caitylotz!"

"That was a really good episode!!!" another fan wrote. "@caitylotz did a great job for her first directional debut. Charlie's backstory was good, I knew she was one of the fates. And Constantine was actually good this time. Seeing that side of him is interesting."

Caity Lotz took over the 'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' Instagram page to hype up the episode and she also dropped a tweet writing, "Thanks for all the love and support. You guys are so kind 🥰."

Here's hoping Lotz pops onto the director's chair a lot more in future because clearly, she's really good at it. 'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' airs new episodes every Tuesday at 9/8 c exclusively on The CW.
