LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Renowned Latin and ballroom dancer Alan Bersten has been an iconic face on the popular dance reality show franchise ‘Dancing With The Stars’ since Season 20. As a pro, Bersten is all set to floor the audiences with his brilliant dance chops alongside contestant Jessie James Decker in the current season. While the dancer has always garnered plaudits and applause in each season for giving the finest performances from global audiences and fans, not many people know that his personal life has not been smooth. It has had its share of ups and downs.

Alan Bersten’s education and career

Bersten is a globally prominent choreographer who has been an integral part of ‘Dancing With The Stars’ ever since season 20.



 

Bersten started his career as a contestant in season 10 of Fox’s iconic dance reality show ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ back in May 2013. After gaining recognition as a dancer, he then went ahead and joined ABC’s hit dance reality series ‘Dancing With The Stars’ as a troupe member since season 20 back in March 2015. From Season 20 to Season 24 in March 2017, he remained a troupe member. Since Season 25 in September 2017, he has been a professional partner for celebrity contestants.



 

While Alan reached the semi-finals with social media celebrity Alexis Ren in season 27 back in September 2018, He won Season 28 with his celebrity contestant, the ‘Bachelorette’ star Hannah Brown in November 2019.



 

Alan Bersten’s ex-girlfriends so far

1. Alexis Ren

Alan and Alexis went public about their feelings on season 27 of ‘Dancing With The Stars’. The couple dated briefly while the show aired on ABC. Alexis confessed her feelings for Alan initially, but he was reluctant to accept; but later on he revealed about having fallen in love with her. According to a US Weekly article dated December 2018, a source told the outlet the couple had officially split. The source said, “She’s in Japan working and he’s going on tour in a couple of weeks, but they are still talking and still consider each other friends. They aren’t in the same country for a while, which makes a relationship hard, but they are open to whatever the future might hold."



 

2. Paige Vanzant

Back in May 2016, Paige and Alan were rumored to be romancing during season 24 of ‘Dancing With The Stars’. During the time their performance aired on screens, producers had asked both Vanzant and Bersten whether the rumors of their dating were true. Both of them straight away denied the relationship.

After the semi-final performance, in an interview with ET Online dated May 2016, Vanzant teased the fans and said, “Who knows! A girl does not kiss and tell!”

She also clarified that she was single at that time. She finally confessed how she and Alan were great friends and have amazing camaraderie and chemistry. Vanzant said, “Me and Alan are friends, but right now I'm a little preoccupied with the competition. I want to make it all the way, and we're so close.”
