'Dancing with the Stars' season 27: Alexis Ren and Alan Bersten's magical chemistry sparks speculations of a possible romance

Shocking elimination rounds and possible shade aside, this season of 'Dancing with the Stars' has something else brewing too. And no, it's not any controversy so far! On this last particular episode, that aired on Monday night, the theme was "Disney Night" and sure enough, there was some Disney magic brewing in terms of a prospective romance between star contestant and model, Alexis Ren, and her pro-partner on Season 27 of DWTS, Alan Bersten.

Okay, maybe not entirely a romance, but their chemistry surely had both audience and viewers, including the judges, buzzing with the sweet essence of a fairytale as the whole ballroom turned into the "Happiest Place on Earth". While the remaining nine contestants were competing against each other for the coveted Mirrorball trophy - dancing to a song from a Disney movie in the fifth week of DWTS there was just a little something extra when it came to Alexis and Alan's performance, among other things.

All eyes turned to the pair as they performed a glorious Foxtrot to "Just Around the Riverbed," from Pocahontas, and for good reason too. In a pre-taped video, the Sports Illustrated swimsuit model was asked if she had developed feelings for Alan. And guess what Alexis did? She pulled the whole coy vibe, and played it off saying "no comment." Which was a sheer evasion of the question considering sparks were flying from every direction as the two took over the dance floor and made the judges swoon enough, to give them the highest scores of the night.

Dressed in a Pocahontas inspired gown, Alexis looked beyond magical, while Alan's get up was fashioned after the Disney princess' love interest, John Smith. But their outfits weren't the only things in sync, as their dance seemed to charm the judges too. "So in tune it was like two hearts beating as one!" Bruno Tonioli raved in appreciation, while Len Goodman called the performance "well-crafted" and "beautifully danced." Carrie Ann Inaba also added: “It was your best dance so far this season.”

Sadly, both the magical mystery and topmost scores of the night (29 out of 30) weren't enough to keep the duo out of jeopardy, as they shared the spot with fellow contestants, DeMarcus Ware, and his pro-partner, Lindsay Arnold, who had earned a solid 26 out of 30 for their Charleston on "A Star is Born" from Hercules. But looked like the stars were all in their favor, as by the end of the night, host Tom Bergeron announced that nobody would be going home - all courtesy Disney Night and the magical happy ending Disney always promises.

Almost speaking for everybody in unison, one fan of the show even tweeted: "Dreams do come true." But wait, there's more. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, following Disney Night, when Alexis was directly asked about these burning romance rumors, she said, "I'm not answering that…  I can barely get through [these] Mondays!" Alan added: "Again, we're taking it one day at a time here."
