Could Christian Obumseli have been saved? Security waited 12 mins outside Courtney Clenney's home as she attacked him

MIAMI, FLORIDA: Attorneys representing now-deceased Christian Obumseli have alleged that their client wouldn't have lost his life if building security of the One Paraiso apartment complex had acted promptly after receiving complaints of the fight. Obumseli died in April last year after his girlfriend Courtney Clenney allegedly stabbed him inside their 22nd-floor unit. While the OnlyFans model was allegedly killing him, the security personnel waited outside for around 12 minutes, as per a lawsuit filed by Obumseli’s estate.

The 26-year-old accused murderer is now been facing a second-degree murder charge. It has been said that she fatally poked a knife into Obumseli’s chest just a few inches away from a tattoo of her name. The man lost his life just days before his birthday. At the time, the Miami police reportedly said, “The preliminary investigation determined that both Mr. Obumseli and the female had been involved in a physical altercation.”

Could Christian Obumseli have been saved?

The complaint has claimed as per The New York Post, “[B]uilding security arrived at the Clenney unit, knocked on the door, heard yelling through the door, stood outside, and did nothing despite knowledge of Ms. Clenney’s history of past disturbances in the unit and common areas, her history of erratic, volatile and aggressive behavior … and her recently diagnosed mental health disorder.”

But Clenney’s co-counsel, Frank Andrew Prieto, has asserted that it was his client who was the victim in the relationship and she took the extreme step to save herself. In a statement, Prieto noted, “That afternoon, Courtney’s actions were taken in self-defense after suffering at the hands of Obumseli’s mental and physical abuse. The amended complaint includes the many times Courtney called security and the police for help; however, it distorts many facts and leaves out significant details that do not fit their false narrative.”

‘They allowed Ms. Clenney to commit murder’

The lawsuit, however, continued to claim that “at 4:45 pm, One Paraiso [and other security and building entities] knew or should have known that this constituted an emergency and that they had a right to immediately access the unit, given the unique circumstances of Ms. Clenney and her history and medical condition. [T]hey allowed Ms. Clenney to commit murder without providing any intervention – they stood outside the door of the unit while Ms. Clenney committed her heinous crime and did nothing to stop or attempt to stop the murder from occurring.”

The suit added, “By the time Ms. Clenney finished committing her crime, at 4:58 pm, she opened the door to her unit and security saw her and her dogs covered in blood and Mr. Obumseli was already unconscious on the floor. Had the building personnel or security performed their duties when they were first notified about the fight, 2 minutes after it started, Christian Obumseli would still be alive.”
