STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN: Apple TV+'s newest series 'Constellation' has captivated viewers with its intricate sci-fi narrative and enigmatic plot twists.

The storyline primarily follows Jo Ericsson (Noomi Rapace) and Henry Caldera (Jonathan Banks), whose lives undergo a dramatic transformation following a space mission, while also delving into the character of Jo's daughter, Alice (Davina/Rosie Coleman).

The series introduces a fascinating concept of multiple realities becoming entangled in an unprecedented phenomenon.

In Episode 7, tensions escalate as two Alices, belonging to different realities mysteriously communicate through a recorder and encounter each other in a mirror.

Yet, the mystery deepens with the introduction of Valya, a supernatural entity that Alice encounters, leaving audiences eagerly awaiting answers.

In Episode 5 of 'Constellation,' a mysterious character is introduced. Alice discloses to Jo that she sees "The Valya," describing this entity as being "a bit dead and a bit alive" and claiming it "tricks me into not playing."

The intrigue deepens as Alice draws Valya as a woman in an orange spacesuit that reminds Jo of the dead cosmonaut she saw floating in space.

This leads Jo to initially suspect that Alice might have seen the news and recreated the cosmonaut in her drawing. However, Alice insists she had no prior knowledge, leaving Jo in a state of confusion.

Is Valya the alternate self of Irena Lysenko in 'Constellation'?

According to Alice's description, Valya was wearing a USSR spacesuit suggesting that she may be Irena Lysenko's (Barbara Sukowa) alternate self, given that she was part of a USSR space mission.

And, in case you missed it, Henry mistakenly referred to Irena as Valya in Episode 3 when she confided in him about her diagnosis of Stage 4 Lymphoma.

The prevailing theory is that Valya died in outer space, while Irena, similar to Bud, Henry, Jo, and Paul Lancaster (William Catlett), underwent a switch of identities with her.

What does Valya tell Alice in 'Constellation' Episode 7?

In the climax scene of 'Constellation' Episode 7, Alice experiences a dream where Valya urges her to follow.

Upon waking up in the hospital and learning from Magnus Taylor (James D'Arcy) that Jo has gone with Irena, Alice asserts that Jo is required to be brought back. This indicates that Valya may have revealed the truth to Alice about Irena's intentions.

Previously in 'Constellation,' it was established that Henry and Irena are aware of their swap with their alternate selves. However, despite this knowledge, Irena denies Jo's assertions about discovering the deceased USSR cosmonaut's body in space.

This behavior suggests that, like Henry, Irena is reluctant to return to her original universe and is attempting to conceal the truth by silencing those who speak out about the quantum universe jumps.

Recognizing the extent to which Irena is willing to go to protect her secret, Valya reaches out to Alice as a means to shield Jo from Irena's schemes.

The mystery is set to unravel in the upcoming finale episode, scheduled to premiere on Wednesday, March 27, 2024.
