The fight for justice never ends... Showtime's ‘City On A Hill’ returns to the heart of Boston with a heart-throbbing premiere. After the thrilling first season ended with the finale titled ‘Mayor Curley and the Last Hurrah’, the series — based on an original idea by Ben Affleck and Charlie MacLean — could go one notch higher with all the twists and turns.
Season two centers on a federal housing project in the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston. As coalition leader Grace Campbell (Pernell Walker) works tirelessly on behalf of the community, her efforts are undermined by gang activity happening right under her nose.

Titled ‘Bill Russell's Bedsheets’, the episode begins with the note: “Jackie Rohr's showboating led to the death of Decourcy Ward's friend, Hank Signa. Jenny Rohr believes her shortcomings as a mother and wife are what led to Benedetta's suffering.”
It also reads: “Siobhan Quays is on a blazing professional and political ascendancy. Decourcy's mishandling of the Jimmy Ryan case has landed him in DA purgatory.”
Once the plot was revealed on Reddit, one fan wondered: “Interesting that they mentioned Mark O’Brien and Amanda Clayton returning for season 2. I wonder how big of a role the Ryan family will play in this season if it’s going to be focused on Roxbury.”

The official summary of the episode reads, “When an assistant US attorney overdoses and ends up left for dead outside Saint Eligius Hospital, Decourcy Ward investigates, suspecting Jackie Rohr's involvement. Jackie, in turn, goes after the Boston Police Department’s Youth Violence Strike Force for a questionable drug arrest at Braxton Summit.”
“Working on behalf of this federal housing project and its residents is community activist Grace Campbell, who recruits the help of fellow coalition member Siobhan Quays. But their efforts are subverted as tensions flare between rival gangs.”
