City Hunter's live-action adaptation on Netflix has fans buzzing. From action-packed fight scenes and laugh-out-loud moments to a surprisingly emotional core, viewers are raving about the film's faithfulness to the source material.

While some debate the casting choices, many agree that the film captures the spirit of the classic series. With calls for a sequel and a potential season of live-action episodes, 'City Hunter' seems to have hit the mark with its devoted fanbase.

Before watching the movie, a user shared an opinion comparing the movie to Jackie Chan's 'City Hunter', saying: "I might watch it, though I doubt it will top the Jackie Chan version, which also happens to be the best live action Street Fighter."

While one user talked about Ryohei Suzuki's admiration for 'City Hunter,' saying: "He is a huge fan of this Manga"City Hunter". Finally his dreams came true So it's tightly packed his heart in it!!! The gun action is also world-class. Don't miss this Masterpiece Movie."

However, a devoted fan of the original 'City Hunter' shared his doubts regarding the cast of the live-action adaptation and wrote: "Kaori doesn't look like Kaori at all. Maki meh. Ryo doesn't look bad but is less manly, he should have more of a mature appeal. Anyway, I'm glad Hojo's work is still remembered and celebrated. Let's hope it's not so bad to dissuade the new generations from looking into the manga."

An enthusiastic fan admired the live-action adaptation, writing: "Man… the live action City Hunter movie exceeded my expectations. It’s a lot of fun lol. I think they definitely understood the assignment. The cast was great and the story was decent. The action was great too. The Easter eggs in it for fans of the series were also."

Following that another fan penned: "Loved it. Action was great, comedy was on point and the actors, especially the one playing Kaori, are really convincing. Is it a movie for everyone? Heck no! It's a love letter for City Hunter fans & it totally delivers."

Praising the modern adaption 'done-right' one user wrote: "Words can't express how beautiful this was. Seeing such a heartbreaking beginning adapted in a modern live action form was absolutely wonderful. I had a great time watching with my other City Hunter, @ThexMajin (We will be watching this movie repeatedly) I need a physical so bad."

Underlining that 'City Hunter' is worth a watch or maybe more than that, one fan stated: "I don’t want City Hunter the movie on Netflix. I want an ENTIRE SESON of live action City Hunt on Netflix. Of note: Ryohei Suzuki is fluent in English, he’ll have an amazing career overseas. Just like Hiroyuki Sanada. And let’s do Cat’s Eye next."
