'Chilling Adventures of Sabrina' Part 3: Witches see a ray of hope as the Hedges join them to defeat pagans
Spoiler alert for Part 3 of 'Chilling Adventures of Sabrina'!
A flicker of hope finally comes in Episode 6 of Part 3 of 'Chilling Adventures of Sabrina'. Though the ancient hedge witches like Gryla, Sycorax, and Pesta are angered at the witches summoning them without permission, after a chat with Aunt Zelda, they agree to work with the witches to beat the pagans.
Meanwhile, Robin has opened up to Harvey and Theo that he is one of the pagans, which they then inform Sabrina. However, Robin wants nothing more to do with the pagans and tells Sabrina that the pagans want to resurrect the oldest of pagan gods, the Green Man.
In the previous episode, Aunt Hilda goes to Dr Cerberus to spend more time with him. While they watch 'The Munsters' and sing, Dr C catches sight of Hilda's spider face. She explains to him that she wants to spend her final moments with him.
But, Hilda turns full spider and not only traps a Southside Serpent (Riverdale reference!) to eat him, but her appetite is insatiable as she spins up Dr C in her web for her next meal. She calls Zelda and when Aunt Z shows up, Hilda begs for her sister to shoot her, to which Zelda painfully obliges.
Zelda then buries Hilda where she always does when she kills her so that Hilda may come back to life.
Caliban shows up in Greendale, offering to help the Fright Club turn Roz back from stone to flesh. Unfortunately, when Roz's statue is left alone for a few minutes, the snake charmer, Nagina, shows up to shatter it in pieces. But fear not, since Caliban has a cure for this too. Caliban tells Sabrina he is helping her since he wants to marry her and become King of Hell.
However, Caliban's spell doesn't work. The spell requires Harvey to sacrifice his love for Roz to goddess Aphrodite. However, Aphrodite rejects his sacrifice as it turns out Harvey's love for Roz is not true. Does this mean that Harvey still thinks of Sabrina as his one true love?
Sabrina then decides to work with the hedge witches to capture Circe, one of the pagans in order to turn Roz and Dorcas back to flesh.
Lilith, knowing that the Dark Lord is now free, first goes to Zelda for protection. When Zelda refuses, she disguises herself as Adam, Mary Wardwell's lover, who was killed by the Dark Lord himself previously and seeks refuge with her. Unfortunately, Father Blackwood (the Dark Lord within him) shows up and reveals to Mary the true identity of Adam and she runs.
The Dark Lord employs Lilith to do a separation ritual so he can be separated from Father Blackwood's body. Before she does so, she enchants Lucifer to sleep while she seduces Father Blackwood, ensuring that she will be pregnant with Lucifer's son so that he may not kill her.
The real Mary Wardwell shows up at the Spellman house and shoots Zelda.
As the episode ends, Sabrina performs a spell to sever whatever feelings or connection she may have to either Nick or Harvey, disappointing both "Nabrina" and "Habrina" shippers.
