'Chicago Fire' Season 8 Episode 12 Preview: Casey and Severide team up to crack a case full of false alarms

Last week's episode of 'Chicago Fire' saw Lieutenant Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) officially return to work at Firehouse 51 after he was let go from the Office of Fire Investigations (OFI). But it looks like Severide's investigative days are far from over as he and Captain Matthew Casey (Jesse Spenser) try to get to the bottom of a series of false alarms from a private school.
These false alarms hinder the firefighters' capacity to efficiently deal with cases of fires and after one individual is left critically injured, Casey and Severide will work together to identify the people behind the false alarms, even with the private school's administration getting in the way of their work. With Severide's knack for hunches and his investigative capabilities as well as Casey's determination and honor code, it's clear that these two will manage to find out who is responsible while also taking to task the administrators who seem intent on hiding the truth.
The episode would be interesting to watch as we haven't seen a Casey-Severide match-up this season and with Severide's transfer to the OFI before the fall finale, we worried we might not get them.
Meanwhile, Severide's girlfriend, Stella Kidd(Miranda Rae Mayo) is looking for ideas to surprise him on his birthday. After the many ups and downs the "Stellaride" relationship has gone through, it would be good to see the show just giving the couple some peace.
We will also see firefighter Joe Cruz (Joe Minoso) and paramedic Sylvie Brett(Kara Killmer) rent out their extra room. Who they are renting out to is not clear yet, but the synopsis for the episode makes it certain that Cruz and Brett get more than they bargained for. Could it be the new candidate, Blake Gallo, or could it even be someone from Firehouse 20?
'Chicago Fire' airs on NBC on Wednesday nights.
