Charles Lowe and Sierra Steiner: Delaware duo arrested after man found shot dead inside car

NEWARK, DELAWARE: Two Delaware residents were arrested on Saturday, April 8, by Delaware State Police and charged with murder after an incident in March where they were said to have killed a man. The New Castle Police Department sent out officers early on Sunday, March 19, to investigate allegations of an accident on Old Country Road. When the police arrived, they discovered a man inside a car suffering from a gunshot wound.
The unidentified person was declared dead on the spot. Delaware State Police took charge of the investigation once it was established that the incident took place within their jurisdiction and that the victim had driven into private property in his car with a woman, later identified as Sierra Steiner, 28, of Newark. The suspect is then said to have pulled up behind the victim's car and approached him. State Police eventually identified the suspect as Charles Lowe, 44, of Felton, Delaware, reported Fox News.

How did police manage to catch Sierra Steiner and Charles Lowe?
Authorities stated that the victim tried to flee in his car but was shot by one of the suspects, leading him to smash into some trees. Steiner and Lowe allegedly got out of the car and left the area. Steiner and Lowe were identified as suspects in the homicide by State Police after an investigation, and on Friday, April 7, arrest warrants were acquired.
The Hartford County SWAT and Cecil County Sheriff's Office officers located Lowe and Steiner the following day in Elkton, Maryland. Authorities stated that Steiner and Lowe attempted to flee the scene in the car they were in, but they crashed into a parking lot before being caught.
What charges were made against Charles Lowe and Sierra Steiner?
The two suspects, Steiner and Lowe, were taken to the State Police barracks and charged with first-degree murder, possession of a firearm while committing a felony, and second-degree conspiracy after receiving medical clearance from a nearby hospital.
Lowe was charged with illegal gun possession after he was convicted of a violent felony. He was charged by the Justice of the Peace and remanded on a cash bond of $1,085,000 to the Howard R Young Correctional Institution. Steiner was also charged by the Justice of the Peach and remanded on a monetary bond of $1,065,000 to the Delores J Baylor Women's Correctional Institution.
