On their star-studded HGTV series 'Celebrity IOU,' John C. Reilly collaborates with Jonathan and Drew Scott. In the newest episode, which airs on May 23, John C. Reilly is feeling especially virtuous.

Reilly collaborated with Property Brothers to help Johnny, a friend of twenty years, rebuild his log cabin. Johnny, the proprietor of a prominent junkyard named "Funky Junk Farms," originally met Reilly through their shared love of all things old. They were fortunate in a way that they immediately connected as brothers — "like brothers from another mother." They have similar interests, and he is a collector, Reilly reveals to the Scott Brothers.

Johnny, Reilly's driver, is the sort of person on whom he can always rely, according to Reilly. "When you spend that much time together, you end up really coming to depend on each other," Reilly remarked. Johnny has always been there for Reilly. That's why the 'Stan & Ollie' star planned to surprise Johnny by completely renovating his derelict log house in Funky Junk Farms. Viewers can watch Reilly put his woodworking abilities to use as he plays around with the HGTV talents in exclusive footage.

Drew begins the scene by asking Reilly if he enjoys shopping. Reilly replies that it depends on what he's looking for. Drew gives him the option of staying and building his dream log home or going to look at furniture options with him. Jonathan interrupted Reilly, who was clearly at a crossroads over which brother he should assist. He jokes that he'll need aid, so Reilly should stay back.

The comedian was having difficulty distinguishing the identical twins. In the video, he acknowledges that one of his children attended school with identical twins. He'd never say their names since he was too frightened of getting it wrong. To add to the twin dynamic, Drew emerged outside the log cabin's window and began doing a "mirror gag" with Jonathon, who was indoors. "With Jonathan and Drew, I still have to like, 'Wait, what shirt was he wearing?'" he retorts. "I should just memorize — beard Drew, right?" While the trio had a good time getting up to twin high jinks, Johnny was moved by the final makeover reveal.

The HGTV personalities turned the century-old cabin into a modern, comfortable hideaway while retaining its original beauty. They painted the aged redwood black and added new rafters to strengthen the structure. When Johnny first sees the makeover, he doesn't seem to believe it. Reilly expresses his appreciation for Johnny during the reveal. Johnny, who says the makeover means everything to him, adores the images of his cherished junkyard that are scattered throughout the new intimate room.

New episodes of HGTV's 'Celebrity IOU' premiere every Monday at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
