‘Casi Feliz’: Release date, plot, cast, trailer and all you need to know about Netflix's upcoming Argentine series
It’s no news that Netflix is gradually moving from producing and streaming only English language shows and movies and foraying into regional language entertainment. The streaming giant is gradually shifting to local content and dishing out a whole bunch of quality programs. Its next stop is Argentina. Netflix is all set to launch its latest Argentine production and it forms a part of the array of local shows from the South American nation. The original series comes right after an official announcement of Netflix establishing itself in Buenos Aires early this year.

‘Casi Feliz’/ ‘Almost Happy’ will premiere with all its scheduled 10 episodes on May 1, 2020, on Netflix.
Plot
The semi-biographical comedy follows the story of Sebastian, a comedian and radio presenter, who faces a series of problems with his current adult life. He is in a difficult relationship with his ex-wife, where he, though separated, is still in love with her. The series follows his journey as he tries to find a way through his life, struggling with daily problems, personal insecurities, and kids, thus seeking happiness which seems to elude him in his “almost perfect” life.
Here’s the official synopsis from Netflix: “Sebastian is a radio show host of modest fame, trying to find a way into the world, as he deals with his ex-wife (whom he still loves) and two kids.”
Cast
‘Casi Feliz’ features Sebastián Wainraich, Natalie Pérez, and Santiago Korovsky in the lead roles.
Wainraich plays the eponymous lead role. He is a locally popular Argentine actor and writer who has appeared on many television shows. He is known for his work on ‘Petti en vivo’ (2001), ‘Una noche de amor’ (2016) and ‘Indomables’ (2004).
Pérez is an award-winning actress from Buenos Aires, known for her work in ‘Pequeña Victoria’ (2019), ‘My Lovely Hope’ (2015) and ‘Guapas’ (2014).
Showrunner
The series is written and created by Wainraich along with Hernán Guerschuny, who also serves as the director. The Netflix original is produced by HC Films and Tiger House where Pablo Udenio and Alejandro De Grazia serve as the project’s executive producers.
