'Cannonball': Release date, plot, hosts, trailer and all you need to know about USA Network's water-based competition series
USA Network's upcoming show 'Cannonball' is yet another addition to its unscripted programming slate. Last year, the network announced that it's picked up the water-based competition series based on the hit Talpa format from ITV Entertainment. The first season of the show will feature 10 episodes and according to USA Network, "the series pits contestants against some of the highest, fastest and wettest challenges ever created, for a cash prize". 'Cannonball' will premiere on July 9, 2020, with new episodes dropping every Thursday.
Plot
Created by Talpa's John de Mol, each episode of Cannonball will feature 16 larger-than-life personalities willing to jump into the deep end and compete in four rounds of physical challenges – from the speed slide Mega-Ramp to a thrilling Drop Tower to the explosive Air Cannon and more. Each round eliminates more hopefuls until finally, one champion remains.

Michael Gregory aka Mike Mizanin aka "The Miz"
Apart from being a pro wrestling champ, Michael Gregory "Mike" "The Miz" Mizanin has appeared on a number of television shows. His first show was ''The Real World: Back to New York', he was a winner of 'The Challenge: Battle of the Seasons' in 2002 and 'The Challenge: The Inferno II' in 2005. He was also a finalist on 'The Challenge: The Gauntlet' and 'The Challenge: Inferno'. He also competed on 'Real World/Road Rules Challenge: Battle of the Sexes 2'.
Raquel Roxanne 'Rocsi' Diaz
Diaz is a television personality, a radio presenter and a model. She's best known as the former co-host of the ultra-popular mega music show, 106 & Park, where she interviewed everyone from Lady Gaga to Obama. As a co-host and daily correspondent on Entertainment Tonight, Diaz was known for setting the tone for what’s hot in music, movies, and entertainment.

'Cannonball' is produced by ITV America’s ITV Entertainment, based on the original format by ITV Studios Netherlands Content BV and licensed by ITV Studios. The series was created by John de Mol, who serves as executive producer along with Shye Sutherland, Keith Geller, Bernie Schaeffer, Stijn Bakkers and Kevin Wehrenberg.
