Who is Cameron Brand?

Cameron Brand, a 19-year-old resident of Pass Christian, has been arrested by the police for murder and aggravated assault charges. However, his charges were elevated to homicide, according to a press release by the Bay St Louis police on Sunday. Authorities suspect that Cameron Brand acted alone as the shooter, but his motive for the crime is not yet known.

When police arrived at a residence on Blue Meadow Road around 12:30 am, they found six individuals aged between 15 and 18 with gunshot wounds, some of whom had been taken to hospitals in private vehicles before the officers arrived. Four of the victims were Hancock High School attendees, while the remaining two were Bay High students, according to the Sun Herald. Although, none of the teenagers involved in the shooting incident had attended Bay High School's prom, which was held during the day on Saturday.

Bay St Louis police to continue investigation

Schwartz stated that one of the surviving victims is in critical condition, while the other three are in serious condition, and all six of them suffered from gunshot wounds. While police have not confirmed the exact number of gunshots fired during the incident, videos circulating on social media and viewed by the source showed multiple gunshots were fired.

At this time, the identities of the victims have not been disclosed to the public and there is still limited information available regarding the details of the horrifying shooting.

Initially, Brand's bond was set at $3,000, but after the two teenagers died from their injuries, Judge Stephen Maggio ordered that he be held without bond. The Bay St Louis police Department is currently carrying out an ongoing investigation into the shooting incident and further information related to it is expected to be released to the public in due course.
