With the vast open spaces in the Pagosa Springs region of Colorado, there's nothing but inspiration brimming for the founders of Root Design Company, who will be featured on HGTV's 'Building Roots'. Founders of the design consulting firm, Ben and Cristi Dozier, are a husband-and-wife duo, whose profession entails specializing in creating a dream home for their clients. In the upcoming show, we'll get to see the two bring their thoughtful and innovative home renovation ideas to come to fruition. We'll also hear more about the couple's passion for creative home design.
The couple launched Root Design Company way back in 2004, which they initially operated from the living room of their home in Austin, Texas! Their work primarily involves customized and innovative home designs, boutique commercial projects, destination property development, and brand conception. Today, the family of six resides in the mountain town of Pagosa Springs in Colorado, in a century-old Victorian riverfront house. Ben Dozier
Ben Dozier is popularly known as the founder of Root Design Company, a design consulting firm. He is also the co-founder and president of 3AG Investments.
Ben’s social skills and immense ability to network and connect with people keep him at the heart of the Root business, thereby driving it to success. Root Design runs over a dozen projects at any given time all through California, Colorado, Texan, and even beyond.
Cristi Dozier
Cristi Dozier is Ben's wife and business partner, and co-founder of 3AG Investment. The power couple is also owners of Root House Coffee + Shop, located in Pagosa Springs, which they operate as well. The place is a bakery and lifestyle store, rolled into one.
In Cristi's opinion, she says, "We opened this coffee shop as an extension of our design business to invest in the local community and to serve our clients even better, with a great cup of coffee, of course, and a selection of retail goods". Well, that's pretty innovative!
